(2009/09) ROM in Sep 2009


yeah he stay more than it should be... mine start from 12 to 2 pm.. he arrived at 11.30 and left when the guests all left and till the event over...

.. no worries.. he wont be so calculative ... other PG may be give u 3 hours but charge u higher ..
 
tare_dolphin.. my JP is Mr Chan Kai Yao, i highly recommend him.. he may sound fierce n seriuos.. but during my ROM he is such funny person ! he is quick, responsible and punctual.. so no worries.!

Hi, anyone can provide some good or bad experience/s with Raffles Marina ? I intend to hold my wedding there somewhere in Nov 2009. I like the outdoor ideas presented to us by their Club Manager

I am holding my ROM on 19/09/2009.

Anyone have any idea when should i contact the solemnizer and also how should I go about it?

I would be glad if you gals / guys out there can share some of your good reviews or tips for anything that with regards to ROM with me! =)
 
Hey Lisa.. i'll be holding mine too on the same day...

I suppose to arrange as early as possible (esp. on those hot fav. solemnizers) I can't share much on the procedure cos the one we are using will be my bf's dad ex-colleague.. My bf's sis & cousin has been using her as their solemnizer in the past..

Me too will be holding my ROM on 19/09/2009.
you can start to call up solemniser as 19/09/2009 also consider as HOT Date wor... Once u had confirmed ur venue... u can call them and invite them to be ur solemniser on your big day... (:
 
I shall list down what i have done and what i am going to do. See if it can help u plan=)

My ROM is on 20092009 and things that are done are:

- Found a JP who's available on that day at our preferred timing
- Booked a venue for the solemnisation
- Bought a ROM gown (pastel pink)
- Bought Pants (for groom)
- Groom's shoes (already have)
- Wedding bands
- Photographer
- MUA
- Tie for groom

Yet to be done:-
- Look for hand bouquet
- Groom's shirt
- Heels
- Accessories (eg. necklace, bracelet)
- Mani and Pedi (optional)
- Efile 21days before 20092009 (as venue is outside ROM)
- Call JP 1week in advance to remind him

That's all that's planned. Please let me know if you think there should be something else that i need to do for the ROM.

May I know whom you gals have choosen? hehe...

I think I need a JP (hold the ceremony in English) but it would be good if he can also understand/speaks cantonese or mandarin cause my fiance is from overseas..

I seriously have no idea how to go about it..
 
And i do not really understand the E-file procedure. so if I am holding my ROM outside of the ROM centre, I will have to Efile online.. ??

lets say my ROM is on 19/09/2009. Do i have a time frame to submit my notice?

And actually wats the purpose for all these notices..
 
E-filing has to be done earliest at 3mths before yr solemnization date (regardless within the ROM office or other places).

I understand that although u held the ceremony outside ROM office, couple will still be needed to go down office to do the vows.. (maybe someone whom has gone thru can elaborate further??)

R u serious that; we still have to go down to the office to do the vows even if i holding my solemnization outside???? so much trouble...

Do anyone know about making our own vow? must it be vetted by the solemnizer or approved by some authority, etc?

yup..nt sure about doing the vows again at the office, but then, u still have to go there to collect your cert before your solemnisation outside.

Own vows do not need to be approved by any authority ba. Juz let your JP knoe tat u are using your own vows, and make sure that he/she is okie wif it...

im writing my own vows oso, and mi JP is fine wif it...so i dun c a big issue there...=]

Hi,i'm new here.We have just book 2 table at tunglok restaurant ...Our ROM is on 08/08/09 haven't book jp yet ?still got alot of things not done yet...Now,we are thinking of invitating our friends and colleagues to our chalet at aloha...but nothings is confrim yet....Thought of keeping it a simple one...please advise thanks
 
our rom is on the 20.09.09. =)
we just got our wedding bands from goldheart celestial last weekend and my dress from love potion.
normally how advance do girls get their rom dress?

the venue will be at beaulieu house @ sembawang park =)
 
Faith; 200909 is a super nice date, it was the date we wanted, but planned too late. The PG & VG we shortlisted are all reserved

our ROM is on 20092009 too! hehe..

i always wanted 090909 but its lunar 7th mth thus fiance says to take 20092009 and its a good day cause its actually a hol the following monday=)

if u wan a popular JP, i tink u can try Prof YU..From what I know, he has not yet opened his booking for Sep..He should be opening it in June...but i do not know if you wanna wait til then...

If not, u can go to ROM webby to download e whole list of approved solemnisers...n juz call any of them....
