as for JP, i had Mr Phang..he's quite ok..think he's more comfortable in mandarin though..hehe..
well, he's not the talkative type..so it's really up to u to see what kind of solemniser u like

i tried before using website to choose the date for my ROM bt when checked against the tongshu 2007, it reflected a 'bad' day instead of 'gd' as shown in the website...its juz my encounter..
if ur not beri particular, using the websites will be good enough n save u further headaches

Is Charlotte new? The coordinator told us that there is one coordinator in the event team (which is him).
Have discussed with my FH and decided not to get TH. I am now considering Grand Copthorne & Grand Shanghai. We went to MM to view the rooms and fell in love with the new decor but decided to drop it as it's above our budget and we are having a small group as well.

charlotte is relatively new.. Event manager i think. I went to Marina Mandarin too. Didn't select that as my group have to use Vanda ballroom which ceiling is quite low.
I think grand corpthorne more expensive than marina mandarin if I am not wrong =)

He was recommended to me by a PG friend (who does only advertisements photoshoots but not events). I met him and found him really nice. Even before I sign with him, he will give suggestions on how I can slot in some photoshoot in the morning after I enter my FH's house and serve tea to his parents since my auspicious hour is insanely early and most relatives won't be there. His digital designs for some photos are also very nice.
He is a little more expensive than those freelancers that are PGs only on weekends (part time) but cheaper than many of those PGs out there.
As for the JP and deco, I cannot offer suggestions cos I am doing my ROM in church. Deco I'm still sourcing.

Hi Jule, what u find from the websites are general dates. It's more accurate if u were to get a geomancer to check because they'll base on both the date & time of the couple & sometimes even the zodiac of both parties' parents so as to choose a most suitable date for both of u. Even dates for ROM & customary are choosen differently. One man's meat maybe another man's poison, a good day for someone may be a bad day for another, there's no such thing as one size fits all, no such thing as one good day for everyone & everything they do. For example, a day that's good for marriage will not be good for visiting. Therefore it's always wiser to choose properly.

My AD is on 27th Jan(Tea Ceremony) & my wedding dinner will be on 28th Jan...so have you confirmed your lunch venue? am having a hard time confirming a venue coz' hotels that we have shortlisted have yet to release the 2008 wedding packages.

The grand ballroom is nice as it's spacious and might even add tables in event we bust our guestlist. haha. Well, my FH do not like the location, therefore forgo it.

Which coordinator did u approach for GCW? Mine is Jeremy, pretty friendly guy.
There isnt any free barrel of beer nor waiver of corkage for the luncheon. I'm going to nego for it. Same goes for the food tasting, which im trying to get it for free. Anyone manage to bargain for both free barrel of beer & waiver of corkage?
Where else are your friends looking for the venue? Cos i have some packages for some hotels which i can forward for reviewing.

Just went to MBR & Angel Atelier. Wasn't impress by the gowns there though fancy one gown from MBR but PS not to my taste. Maybe my expectation too high. Will source out some more tmr. Any one visited Di Gio? Fall in love with one of the gown featured in Style Wedding.

my FH's busy with his work and we are moving house soon...so he won't have time to do all the researsch and shopping ard...
but luckily i've decided to take the photos here, bought my gowns...all i need to do is back to SIN and check out the hotels which have to be approved by my future in-laws...well good luck to us

Not true leh. With the latest plan, I'm taking care of the ROM in SG in Dec and he'll take care of the wedding in Melbourne. For SG customary, we've yet to discuss.. Best still is that he throw me a budget and asked me to settle everything - without any indication of the party size, etc..
