Actually, my FH don't like the idea of having beer and wine.

Main reason is that my mum will go crazy after drinking.. That's what i fear most.

But if i totally don't bring in beer and wine.. WOW.. I think the world will turn upside down.

Janice, if you can wait until Her World's wedding show at Marina Mandarin, mabbe the hotel will offer nice perks for that day. Coz the other time, Style held it at Pan Pac, one of their perks was free flow of beer + 1 bottle of wine per confirmed table!

If it's within your budget, wanna try Pan Pac? Coz one thing good is, even if normal package no free flow, you can have at least 2 barrels of beer. Save a lot leh...

junie...I did settle 2 things in 3 hrs but tat's becos I started reading SB forum since year 2004 on an almost daily basis! Hahaha...can really use the chinese saying 'tai shang san fen zhong, tai xia shi nian gong'...loosely translated will be '3 mins on stage but 10yrs of practice backstage'...

Jus received a quotation for 2007 wedding package fr Carlton Hotel n I can't believe it...comparing to the price quoted for Year 2006, the price difference is $130! Ridiculous! Does tis applies to all hotels n restaurants or jus Carlton???

hi Jenn, I'll be wearing same shoes.. cos feel they will be more comfortable having been worn before. But there may be a tradition about the bride wearing only new things on the AD though... usually the bride will wear the shoes given to her by her parents as part of the dowry. My parents will be buying me shoes as part of my dowry but these are usually work shoes - my request! More practical mah.

elch...believe it or not, if you compare the prices now and to 2006 prices, a diff of $130 is norm liao.....

all the hotels taking the opportunity to increase the price coz the economy is turning up and more couples getting married.

A forumer from Style told me his per table for Regent was like $698 on a weekend. When I went to their wedding show in June(?), the price was like $900+!!

Either they chose 2/3 star hotel or restarant.

The way they increase their offer... Goes up and never come down!

drea, jas.. coz i realised dat my kitchen cabinet not long enough to put things. my kitchen is abt 13.5ft, now have a 10ft kitchen cabinet n 2ft tall cabinet. i told ID to extend kitchen cabinet to 11ft, den the opp side make b'fast counter.

Actually i saw something i like at metro, but my right leg fit size 7 and left leg fit size 8. Problem with the cutting so i din buy. Luckily i din buy, cos i saw abt 5 pairs wore at my company d and d...hahhaha

Usually ppl will say shoe on AD must be brand new, but seriously how many things are brand new? Even the gown we wear if its OTR, it not brand new also.

If dun look so much into details nobody will knows, afterall its only 1 day affair. hahah...Just my opinion. No offence here.

dont worry if you are not teochew. still can buy the cakes from them, if you want.
on their namecard, there is picture of fruit tarts as well. i'm teochew, that's y my mum kept that namecard last time.

don't think their cakes is expensive, should be around $5 or lesser per box. maybe u can call n check with them before going down.
