I have some in mind. SAM (but booked by other people), True way and Trinity. But must ask my pastors. Maybe they got "discount".
Not cheap to rent one. Around 1K to 1.5K, depending on size and location.
I have about 150 to 200 guests to invite, so dun need a big church. Won't look nice, if not occuppied. So a small and cosy one will do.
So you having the sword one. Is there uniform white like the one Zoe have? Must be very nice.. So envy you.

the cheongsam from doreen costs $900 to buy coz it's new. to rent it for one time its $450. to rent it for 2nd time it's $225 (half of $450) and so on. if it not a new piece, the rental prices wll be cheaper. i rented it twice, so i paid about $600.

i also looking forward to the album leh, who isn't hehehehee.. no lah my RSVP not done yet leh, still in the process of sending out informal invites first. my cards will only be read next next week. quite stressed.......

name of the scrub? eer.... it's loreal's body range. it's a green colour container, u can find it at all pharmacies, watsons, robinsons, isetan, etc. i think it's $19.95. sometimes, they package it with other items, so, i can be very cheap. i usually buy from robinsons cos they have good discounts.

oh, u've not ROM-ed yet? yup, take nickel's advice, call up HDB now and check with them. I think u can delay taking ur keys with a good explaination, that way, u don't have to produce ur ROM cert so soon?

i'm like u, i also want a small cosy wedding, that's why doing it at my place. have always wanted a poolside wedding since i attended one 3 years ago, this might just happen, as long as the weather on 30 Oct is good

u can either go clubbing with ur friends or book a small little pub so that u can continue the celebration with ur friends? one of my friends did that for her ROM, she booked a pub at marine parade, just for both their friends, after the ROM since only family went for her ROM

I signed up 15 sessions of facial and free 15 sessions of eye treatment. But lately I changed all my eye treatments to all facials cos I realised that I do not have enough facials to last me till my AD. Anyway I don't find that their eye treatment helps in my eye rings lor. In total is 30 sessions. As I mentioned earlier that one of my fren jus signed up for 15 sessions of facials and free 15 sessions for less than 1k. In other words, you are paying 1k for 30 sessions lah. They do have installment plan for the facial package. I went to Haach at Midpoint.

For the mani/pedi, I have tried most of the staffs skills. All very good lor becos they will follow Serene's method of doing the mani/pedi. I have no choice but to signed up with them. Becos my nails are in bad shape. But if you constantly maintanined your nail shape, then no point signing up. You can just go for 1 session of mani/pedi before your Photoshoot and AD lor...

welcome... you mentioned you won't be taking OTR cos you've no time? ?? actually if time is a constraint, then you shld opt for OTR... cos you dun have to wait for your gowns to be ready.. usually, MTM gowns take abt 2 mths... so if you're able to get your gowns OTR, it might be better... if not, speak to your BS and let them know the situation... they may be able to rush a bit for you...

the other gals are right... you really need to settle your venue and BS quickly... maybe get your hubby to sit down one day, tell him what you guys have to do, and what has to be settled fast... let him see the urgency lor...

of cos, if you need help or advice, we're always here to help...!

both nickel & myself have santiago as our BS. i'm using them cos a friend of mine used them before and she was happy with their service. they're pretty easy going people as well. It's located at Parco Bugis Junction. Altho my package includes MTM gowns, I chose all my gowns OTR as I liked their gowns and I did not want any surprises as well. actually, u still have time for MTM, just that u need to confirm which BS u want to use first, then can start working on the gown. best is if u have an idea of what u want, then it'll be easier.

My church aisle is not that narrow, so I think can fit all of us, me, my dad and the sword bearers included. Plus, I intend to have my WG very simple and not pong pong cos I am a tomboy, dun like to wear long dress one.

Yes, the sword party will be in the sanctuary. I think it'll be very grand. Some of the sword bearers are my close friends. But I foresee that we will kena sabo until very jialat.

The last time at our post ROM party, they made us french kiss, but both me and hubby are very shy, we couldn't do it!!!!! =( I wonder what tricks they will have up their sleeves at our wedding. But I'm sure everything will be done in the spirit of good clean fun that day.

For me, I feel it's a pity that I had to ROM first because of the flat though. I would rather sign the ROM papers in the church cos that is when my hubby and I consider ourselves married, not the ROM itself. But no choice, must follow HDB rules cos I got my flat way in advance.

So now, in order to "compensate" and keep the anticipation and excitement alive, we agreed that he will shift in to stay in our new house first after the reno is done, and I'll join him after October lor.

Feroy is right. It probably is more time saving to choose an OTR gown than to MTM one from scratch. With an OTR gown, all you need are minor alterations and embellishments, and the gowns will be ready to go! I heard that White Link has got very nice OTR gowns. U can check it out. Another place I recommend is Allure Charix at Amoy Street. They've got reasonably priced OTR gowns for sale. $499 / $599 only. and u get to keep the gown. Margaret Brides too has a range of OTR gowns for sale.
