Anyone has experience doing gatecrash in the hotel? As we will be doing lunch, everything seems abit tight. Is it okay if bride doesnt go back to groom’s place? Meaning gatecrash at hotel, maybe head out to take pics then back at hotel for tea ceremony.

Any June/Mid 2018 BTBs? :) How's the prep going on for you ladies!!

I've been pretty busy with work and haven't started sourcing for emcees or performers or decorations for my solemnization and banquet reception area...
Am I very behind schedule sigh

Hello,

I am a June 2018 btb. I've booked my MUA, Emcee & AD Photographer, PWS also done and my bff is doing my reception area decor. So now just slacking around, coming up with songs list. The rest i think can leave it till Jan to follow up? I think you still have time, but if there's any vendors you prefer, better to book them early..

Anyone has dinner schedule and to-do list to share?
I have yet to confirm my AD PG and VG. Any recommendations too?
For dinner banquet, will it exceed 10 hrs of PG and VG?

Hi Hi, I just postponed by wedding, so now become a June 2018 bride too.

Can I understand how much should we put aside for florist in general ah? And should we give ang pow to brothers and sisters?

Hello fellow June 2018 BTB!

I think it depends how much deco your banquet venue is providing and if you plan to add additional ones. ang bao also quite subjective (depend if you are paying for their dresses/outfits). 3 yrs ago when I was jiemei my friend gave $50 ang bao and covered our dresses too.

Hello! Anyone took the Grand Hyatt promo for 2018 recently? I just signed up for that!

Am looking for my bridal package..went to ZWedding at BOWS, labelle and bqueens so far.

Just to share a bit more about my starting journey for the preparation!

Labelle and bqueens services are really good! They are not pushy at all. But sadly, no such thing as best of both world. So next I’m going to visit Rico and wedding crafters.

Anyone can share if they have done MTM with bqueens and how’s the result? Bqueens don’t really have much selection off the rack, but their package for MTM is very affordable which include a good MUA.

La belle dresses that are off the rack are actually quite pretty and they have their gown designer attend to you on the first consultation. They let you try at least 3 different styles of gowns to have a feel. But the designer will pick it according to your body figure and I would say he did a great job in the selection for me. However, I don’t intend to get their MUA, car decor and floral bouquet as I’m not comfortable with all of those. After calculating all the wishing stars, I still left with more than 8 wishing stars. So kinda dreading to buy their package. Not confirmed yet though, alternatively is to get MTM in labelle using he leftover wishing stars. But I’m like thinking ‘what for when you can MTM in Bqueens?’

ZWedding was way too pushy at BOWS, the consultant has to bring Chris Ling to us thinking we will sign up because of him. His photography is definitely good, hence the branding for ZWedding. Of course, their gowns look awesome too! BUTTTTTTT! They quote me a frigging 7.8k for the package (AD and Prewed). They keep saying give us some time to discuss but we cannot leave their booth. Kind of forcing us to sign up. We walked off in the end.

I have actually booked my upcoming visit with Louvre bridal but they don’t allow me to try on their gowns on the first consultation. Honestly speaking, how would I know if I like or suit their dress right? All the gowns are so big, how can I even comb through all the racks thinking that it may suit me? So I cancelled it.

I’m so stress in the bridal shopping. 2 more to go, and I think I will just pick from these few.

Would appreciate some advice from all btb. How's the program like if I would like to hold my tea ceremony at the venue and a banquet dinner at night? Is it something like this:

Morning:
- Bride's hair and make-up
- Gatecrash
- Groom fetch bride to his place
- Couple returns to bride's place
Late afternoon:
- Tea ceremony
- Bride's hair and make-up
Evening:
- Banquet dinner

Just need to be prepared there will be some relatives, elders (along with their family who bringing them to your venue) whom will complain if the Tea ceremony is set far apart from the dinner start time.
Since there's nothing much for them to do except sit around your suite or function room post the tea session.

I ask my JP. He say anything. Some bride give him $88,$188,$288. Depends on you. There is no min Sum.

But my Friend JP did request a $88 for transportation fee.

$168 or $188 should be alright. A little more usually due to your venue (central or far out like Raffles Marina, Sentosa, Changi).

Cheers!

Me too! Anyone has planned their schedule for lunch reception?
Mine's as below...

We did the gatecrash and bride place, and then go to Hotel for Tea Ceremony. Solemnization and then Lunch :)
It may seemed rushed but surely do-able, with plenty of time at night for another round of thank you party with friends.

Congrats!! You can only register with ROM 3 months from your ROM date :) Maybe you can start by confirming banquet first, we just had our wedding November and even though we were looking around a year in advance most of the venues were booked.

Hi all!

I'm a Nov 18 btb. I've booked my pre wedding shoot overseas and now considering the AD details.

Contemplating between ala carte or package via bridal studios to save hassle. Any of the btbs did ala carte (ie source your own MUA, gown.. etc) and what's the cost like?

Tia!

Thanks in advance!

Hi

Anybody hiring MUA separately for your mom and hubby mom? Not sure about the time schedule as I'm afraid that there is not enough time and rushed. Going to do gatecrash at my place (east) and going to his place (west) after that. But not sure if there's enough time to go and fro and what's more, our moms need to do make up.

Any advice?

Yup - one of my close friend hire MUA separately. Pros - Make-up and Hairdo takes 45 mins to 1hr odd so there's no waiting for each other. Cons - Some tend to compare which MUA is good :p

In our case we use one MUA and both moms did the makeup at the hotel one after another - my mom arrived hotel first and make up, then my MIL arrives thereafter, then do the makeup. Depends on where/ when you have your tea ceremony too.

Cheers!

- Groom fetch bride to his place
- Tea ceremony at Groom place
- Have a brunch buffet to entertain guest at Groom place
- Couple returns to bride's place
- Tea ceremony at Bride place
- Option for Photo Taking at couple's new home or outdoor, else rest/ or go to hotel

Late afternoon:
- Bride's hair and make-up
- Last check with Banquet - recept and rundown
Evening:
- Banquet dinner
