Aisle Bridal Reviews?

Has anyone signed up at the aisle bridal? Care to share some reviews? Was searching for their reviews and realised it's quite limited..

Thanks.. :)

Hi, I'm an The Aisle bride. They've been okay so far. I was a bit worried because I read some lacklustre replies about them but my gown selection appointment went pretty well. I was happy with my coordinator's service because she really went the extra mile in helping me find gowns that I liked. I didn't really have to leave the dressing room at all, she did all of the running around. At first she pulled some gowns that I didn't like but she was quite quick in picking up my style. The only thing is that they're all very chinese speaking and I'm a big potato so I find it a bit challenging to communicate sometimes.

I like their indoor studio a lot. They have a nice range of pretty backdrops and it's all fully air conditioned. Will probably be hiding there during the hotter parts of the day. I like the portfolio of their in-house prewedding photographer and their MUA as well.

Hi, do you mind sending me your bridal package? Thanks a lot! [email protected]

I just had my pre wedding shoot session.. and it's turned out to be an enjoyable one..
Was very worried at first as I have seen a few bad reviews on the bridal shop itself.
So far so good. Hopefully will be smooth when selecting photos.

Yeah, i have read some bad reviews lately too... trying not to let them affect me. Am choosing my gowns next week! Btw, do they make you pay the full amount before your pre wed shoot?

Initially was told that we have to make the full payment on the day we go for our photoshoot.
But when we went for our photoshoot, we didn't make the full payment. I guessed they were too busy that day to rmb and we, also forgotten about it. Haha..

Hello! Just wanted to share that my dress selection at the aisle bridal was pretty smooth. Jiaxuan was incredibly patient and helpful- spent about 4 hours choosing my actual day gowns and also for the photoshoot.

The white gowns are pretty, but there is a limited number of evening gowns.

They really have a small selection for men though.

The only downside is that, they informed me that my MUA had changed- and they didn't tell me anything before that! I have a replacement MUA so hopefully it works out fine.

By the way, on MUA, there are hidden charges for ampoules ($30) and falsies ($20). I was really quite reluctant to pay for ampoules because I could get a decent one for $10-$15 per vial. When speaking to my new MUA, she insisted on using her own (i.e.: I pay).

What do you think of this arrangement? Sometimes I feel that after signing up with a bridal studio, we play on their terms. But because of convenience and affordability, we went for it. :(

@therookus; glad that you found gowns that you like! I agree, the selection for men is pretty small but thankfully I fell in love with the first suit my fiance put on. He was so pleased that he was done within 15 minutes, lol. I think I took 5 hours on my gowns. D:

It's bad that they changed the MUA without letting you know! Who is your current one? I would be pretty pissed off if they did that to me. Did they show you her portfolio?

Hmm, were those hidden charges to you? The ampoules and falsies cost was made known to me during our very first visit. I wasn't too pleased about it, but I really liked everything else in general so I just accepted it. I think I told my coordinator that I have sensitive skin so she said that possibly I could use my own ampoules if the ones used by the MUA don't suit me. I think they don't want to be responsible for any breakout or allergic reaction, lol!

It's true that bridal studios offer a lot less flexibility and personal service than going ala carte. I think it's more suitable for easygoing brides that are able to relinquish control. I'm quite a Type A personality bride so I'm finding it hard to deal with the sluggish way they get things done. Still, if I crack down on them (keep bugging them and make sure they give me what I want), they're able to deliver so I'm pretty mollified for now. Like we initially fixed my trial make up in the evening, but after thinking about it, I decided to have it done earlier so I could see how it lasts throughout the day. I whatsapped my coordinator and told her to help me change the time (and date if need be). She called me the next day and said that she would help me to rearrange. There was no response for the next 2 weeks so I texted her back to ask. Her reply pissed me off so much because she told me the original date and time - which meant that she didn't rearrange anything at all! I texted her back asking her to change the appointment for me. She didn't respond. I called the studio the next day but it was their rest day. =.= On Wed, I finally got hold of her on the phone. The MUA happened to be at the studio, so I made sure that she changed the time for me there and then. Everything got settled within 5 minutes.

Grrr.

I think it's because we're just one of many clients, so we only get a fraction of their attention and time. I've kinda accepted my fate to pray and just hope for the best; although having said that, I'm still going to be as pesky as I can to make sure they get things done for me.

The price of the ampoules and falsies costs was told to me before i signed the package. But i rmb that the sale coordinator did tell me that we could use our own if we have and we just need to tell the MUA.

Actually I saw some bridal shops that have ampoules and falsies included in their package after I signed up with Aisle Bridal which I feel alittle regret signing their package.

However, I enjoyed trying on their gowns. My previous coordinator was very good. I also tried on their gowns for almost 4 to 5 hrs while my fiance just less than half an hr and he was done.

I did my pws last month and I enjoyed working with the photographer and videographer. Had lots of fun doing different poses and with lots of laughter.

However, there was a change in coordinator since the previous one resigned. So far so good. Just that I realised we were not informed with quite a few things and we have to call and asked each time when we are in doubts. For instance, before signing the package was told we can choose our own song for the MV. But after the pws, there isn't any follow up for that.
My fiance have to call and ask the coordinator about it and she said if we have put ours if not they will put korean song. We were also not told when do we need to give the song if we3 want our own.
Will all the coordinators take initiative to call their clients to remind them on the date for trial makeup, gown selections, etc?
Because previous coordinator did call to remind once and then after that hear nothing anymore.

Anyways, we are still looking forward to seeing the pws photos (which according to coordinator will take abt one month to process).. Hopefully things will be smooth when choosing gowns for my actual day..

Oh same.. How was the mua? Was told her skills very good and very experience.. Where did you all shoot at for outdoor? You told him the locations beforehand?

The mua is good. She will tell me where are my flaws and also what she will do to cover them. She also give quite a few suggestions to the makeup that she is going to provide. As for hairdo, she managed to provide me with several hairstyles that suit the gowns so well. I could hardly believe that it was actually me after the makeup as well as the hairdo. She is friendly and patient as my face is too dry for the foundation so once in a while she has to touch up my makeup during the pws.

As for the outdoor shoot, we settled with a cafe and helix bridge. And yes, we told the photographer on the same day just before going to the venues.

It seems like they really have no initiative one. D: I picked an off-shoulder gown for my indoor photo shoot but they told me that it might not be available for my wedding day because another bride had reserved it. I went for my gown selection in Feb and it's now late April - still no news about whether I'll be able to wear that gown or if I have to pick another one. I guess I'll only find out when I go down to the studio or if I call them to chase. At least I have it reserved for the photo shoot so I'll let it slide for now. I'm just so tired of chasing them because I'm in the midst of so much other wedding stuff like designing our ring (we're going with a custom engraving design), preparing props for the photo shoot etc etc. It's so irritating to have to chase down a flakey BS.

My MUA and photographer are the same as yours. c: Good to know that she's a nice lady! I'm thinking of getting her to follow for the photo shoot.

I don't know if we should let Jacky know of our locations beforehand because our main location is quite... unorthodox. We've decided to choose the zoo as our main outdoor location, complete with giraffe feeding encounters and a special little falabella that the keepers will be bringing out to the Garden with a View for us. I'm really nervous because I have no idea how it's going to turn out. Feels so insecure to not be able to speak with the photographer before the shoot.

Yeah, need to call and check with them. But even though that's the case, their overall service not bad.. i went down last week with bridesmaids to choose their gowns. My coordinator did help me select a combination of colours and give suggestions for me to make easier decisions.
I'm lucky to have ask her to follow us for outdoor shoots.. if not my make up all cmi till the end and there's no one to help me with my gowns as well. Moreover, bringing a makeup artist allows u to have another hairdo when u changed to another gowns..
U can let your photographer know during the day of the shoot. Dont worry, he is really a nice and fun guy. :)
When's your pws?

Hihi , I din know there is such bad reviews about them ..

So far I went there was still ok.. though my coordinator din help me to choose most of my gown but mostly because I wanna see and check the gown with my mum and htb ..

Though we felt that a bit of ganna 'con' but somehow we still think that the service is not that bad..

Ohh i see..
Hmmm.. i chose those gowns that I'm interested to try on.. and then the coordinator will check if its available. However, she also got me a few other gowns that she thinks i might like to try on. Which in the end make my decision-making very tough since most of their gowns were so nice! Haha..
My previous coordinator resigned after I chose my pws gowns.. But current coordinator also good. She also helped me with my sisters' gowns and provide us with suggestions to make our decision on the colours of their gowns easier.

Ooh yay, sounds good! Then I'll definitely get her to follow. My skin is very oily, I think my make-up will just melt off my face. T_T Are they more of the chinese-speaking kind? I'm a bit worried because my chinese is very bad, so I'm scared that I won't really be able to convey what I want to them.

My pws is on 8th June! School holidays D: But hopefully since it's a week day, it won't be as crowded. I wonder if I can ask them to move the studio shoot to the evening. We're given a free night shoot, but we also don't really know where to go. I'd rather use the day light hours for more outdoor shoots since indoor shoots are okay whether it's night or day. Have to call her up and ask.

How long did your make up and hair take?

Hmm me too can't do any decision end up following my mum words.. which now dun know whether want to change anot.. cos not really keen on that colour of the gowns ..

But changes need to pay 200 for any gowns ..

My packages does not include sisters' gown..

During that day we spoke mostly in chinese.. but at times we do speak english.. i believe they do know how to speak english..

We also have free night shoot.. Maybe you can ask them about it? We reached at 9am. Makeup, hairdo for both me and my htb.. changing.. it took us almost 3 hrs.. 9am to 12nn..

Hmm depends on u ba I think as long as u could found a nice place with night lights it's also be prefect..

Normally the MUA needs 2 hours ..

If u have any idea u want .. Probably can ask bs to give u her hp number so that u can what's app her ..

@dreamycandy; wow, 3 hours is pretty long! What time did your photo shoot end? Does make up count in the photo shoot time? We're supposed to have like 10 hours according to the package; using up 3 on make up seems a bit wasted. : / But I guess no choice also. We have to look pretty!

My package doesn't include the bridesmaid gowns too, sounds like you got a good deal! Helen only threw in mother's gowns and father's jackets for us, but both mothers decided to get their own gowns because they said the collection is too limited.

@Jamietn; can you just try on new gowns without committing first? Then only if you find something you like better, then pay the $200. : / So jialat, why must they impose this kind of charge. They should allow us to change as long as it's a reasonable time from our pws / AD, like maybe half a year or longer. Hope you find a gown that makes you happy!

As for night shoot, we're actually not really into the cityscape and night shoots usually showcase the urban landscape. It's just that they gave it to us for free, so we just take it, haha. I think we'd rather spend the daylight hours outdoors and save the indoor studio shoot for after it gets dark. Hopefully they can let us do that.

@Minkishly.. I tot of changing if found a better one .. but my theme is light blue and light purple so I dun wish to wear the same but then I still can't think what to wear for my 2nd March in as

1st gown dark blue - too dark scare my mil dun like
2nd gown purple - too much lacy below
3rd gown red - hmm till today alot of ppl around say is nice on me but I still can't take it at all.. haha..

So must really think properly le..

wow excited for our pws next wednesday. our mua is jing yen and photographer is jacky... kind of decided on our locations too... ya 3 hours on make up from 9-12 seems long and time wasting but seem like no choice... one thing we kind of disappointed so far is that there is not much service and communication from the bridal shop like what to do, how is the flow, etc etc... a lot of things we have to call and ask even when so near to the day le... everyone experience the same thing and feel pek chek?

This is consider not bad le.. normally they prefer we call over lo..

We were told before we sign the package that their business is so good till they not going to do / have any more roadshow.. but who knows almost all the roadshow in this year we still saw them in the roadshow..

N my htb keep thinking that we ganna cheating..

Can anyone let me know if MUA- Sheila & photographer - Eric is good anot..

And also the ampoule they use.. cos to me 30/50 per bottle is kind of expensive and for my Taiwan pre-wedding photoshoot I and htb used 10 bottles lei.. so it's really not a kidding price ...

ya saw them in a few roadshow le.. tot they should at least do some follow up or at least some reminder call before gown fitting or pws... if not how else what we need to do or look out for.. but other than that, the service in the studio itself is good.. just the after service... our coordinator is xiao kelly and she is good when we do our gown fitting

Our photo shoot ended at 8pm and then we headed back to the bridal shop to change and return the gowns..
At first I also tht that its too long. 9am went to bridal shop, only make up artist there. The rest of the staff (including photographer) only came in at around 1130am.
They only opened at 12noon.
My package same as yours moms gowns and dad jackets. Both moms also decided on getting from outside instead. My coordinator added in additional (the bridesmaid gowns for us)..

Same here.. you were not alone. Usually my htb will call to ask about things. Even after our pws, I thought they would have a follow up on that.. in the end nth at all. So my htb called and asked abt when the photos will be ready and the song for the mv. (The sale coordinator said can choose our own song)
But nothing was asked.. so we called and let them know we want our own song. :/

Other than thay their service in the shop itself is very good which is something that cant be denied. All the coordinators are very friendly..
Still satisfied..

I'm a bit irritated with the lack of communication too. I'm always the one that has to call and ask for an update. If I try something else like whatsapp or email, they won't respond, and they won't take the initiative to call either. I find it a bit rude that when I whatsapp, she'll read the message and just ignore until I follow up with a phone call. Although to be fair, when I actually manage to get hold of them on the phone or when I'm there (eg for gown selection), then the service is quite good.

8pm is quite early for a night shoot to end ley. How long was your photography session supposed to be? That's like 8 hours of photography, plus need to minus more time on travelling and eating so maybe only 6 hours in total? If you have the free night shoot, the package should have had like 10 hours of photography stated ya? At least, that's what it says on my piece of paper.

I wish I could add the bridesmaid gowns too; I did ask when we were negotiating the package, but they said cannot. >:[ Oh well, but my bridesmaids are bigger sized also, so I think easier to get outside also.

Oh yeah, when did you choose your veil? Do they allow you to bring the veil out for the outdoor shoot? I'm thinking of buying my own veil from Taobao just in case I can't find a suitable veil at the studio.

It was stated 10hrs photo shooting session which i do believe it should include the makeup time as well as the changing time. That's y that time when we chose our locations, we tried to find places that are near to each other.. more convenient. Oh ya.. we doesn't have eating time.. just some snacks (ate bread) in the car on the way to the location.

The mua will choose the veil for you as according to your gowns.. for me my mua chose a long veil for my indoor shoot then a shorter one for outdoor..

Grr that's why I think bridal studio very misleading; if you get an ala carte photographer / MUA, the hours stated in the package will usually be the actual time spent shooting. In that case, I think we'd probably have to rethink our locations a bit, otherwise probably no time.

Did she choose the veil on the actual photo shoot day or at the trial make up?

I wish the bridal studio would actually tell us this kind of things. : / So sorry to trouble you with so many questions!

No problem about that.. Most willing to share and help.. :)
Somehow after I signed up the package then I realised getting an ala carte could be better. (Too slow to find this forum) if only I realised it before signing any package...

The Mua will choose the veils on the day of the photoshoot. The accessories as well..

Just went for our gown fitting today before our shoot this wed. Saw our mua and photographer today at the studio helping another couple for their shoot.
