Hi All! My husband and I have already had our solemnization and also our own house which we have been staying for quite some time already. Need help regarding the below:

1) We are considered married already, do we still need to 过大礼?

2) My husband still need to come to my parent’s place to 迎娶 and go through the gatecrash anot? Usually it is like this right - My House -> His House -> My House (tea ceremony) -> His House (tea ceremony) -> Hotel . Then if we have our tea ceremony at hotel then how?

Hope someone can guide me.

1) Whether to have 过大礼, do check with the elders (your and his parents). Some parents don't mind not having 过大礼 at all. I secretly think my parents and my parents-in-law were relieved that we didn't want to go through the traditional way for our wedding.

2) Yes, you have pointed out the usual way. If you held your tea ceremony at your wedding venue, then it will be he coming over to fetch you then go to hotel together then tea ceremony.

I can see that you are in the midst of planning.. Please do keep in mind of the timing and logistic, always keep enough buffer time.

Haha.. I just had my wedding this year, both of us agree to keep it as simple as possible. So we dispersed with all the traditional ideology (except tea ceremony), no gate-crash, no dowry, no 过大礼 and no waking up in unearthly hours to fetch the bride.. I do need my beauty sleep in order to look radiant for our wedding! I only have 3 bridesmaids and 3 best men. We kept it to a afternoon wedding lunch with solemnisation, of course me wearing the full white princess gown and he wearing suit.

haha you sound so cute.
Actually you can discuss with your hubby For my bestfriend, although they are already legally married & staying tgt, the night before, he will stayover at his parents' place. then next morning, he will come over, have a very very simple gate crash ceremony before fetching the bride for the morning ceremony.
But i do have friends who skip the whole morning gate crash event. Depends on whether you/your hubby want it or not.
