Planning a wedding from overseas

Hi,
I'm planning to have my wedding in Singapore in December 2015. However, my Japanese fiance and I are based in Japan. I'm feeling a little overwhelmed to plan this wedding while not being able to be physically there. Are there any brides who can give some advice on how I can plan this more efficiently?

We're planning to do the solemnaization and a lunch after that. It will be a small wedding with about 40- 50 people. The venues that I'm considering is Halia Villa, Fullerton Bay Hotel and Min Jiang (One North). Do you girls know of any other suitable venues for small weddings?

Hi there, You could get a wedding planner...
If ya looking at a small wedding maybe consider getting a villa, it's cozy & intimate. However, some villa has certain restriction.

A couple of villas I know off: Capella or RWS( Resort World Sentosa) villas - 3 themes (land, sea & air)

Hope these helps..

yeah. you can get a wedding planner, or a friend/relative based in SG to help if necessary. If not, I think there're many things which can be done online.

My friend had a wedding at a resort at Sentosa. I think that should be easier to execute.

Hi germanium9, speaking as a fellow bride who had to plan her wedding from overseas (my fiancé and I live in the UK), I understand how you feel. I came back twice to plan for the wedding: once last year to visit all the places we had shortlisted and once more before the wedding to speak to the vendors we had engaged, and look at a few other things. Our wedding will be taking place this weekend, and I have to admit that I have felt very stressed by not being able to be in the same country and able to speak directly with people particularly because of the time difference. Still, our big day is almost here and everything is pretty much in place, so I have to say that if I could do it - and I think our wedding is larger than yours - so can you!
