There seems to be no review on the food.. But we have a few brides having wedding banquets next year, think the food should be ok of at least the menu is ok bah. You looking at Concorde hotel as well? :)

Yah. But I think the food should be ok as there aren't huge complaints as like some other hotels. Are you going to the wedding show this Sat? When is your AD? :)

Hi! I'm having a Sunday luncheon there and I'll only choose the theme end of this month...

Interesting that there're more queries on Concorde hotel now considering there were very few when I was hotel searching 6 months ago lol....

Congrats that your luncheon is in Jan 2015. Have you gone for your food tasting? Please keep us posted about the food. :) I hope they have nice themes, I am going down this Sat to see their themes! So excited. I hope that I can have good feeling for this hotel. :) Yes, quite a number of brides having wedding at Concorde, hope to have more reviews coming too! :)

just sign up with Concorde Hotel Singapore! Yeah! Their service is excellent and not pushy at all! The ballroom is gorgeous and pillarless, high ceiling and the wedding themes are pretty too.. :)

My coordinator is miss Zaiton? She attended to us and we signed with her. How about yours? But I think the other ladies are nice too. They are polite and talk to us and ask if they can help. I keep on looking at the ballroom. Did you see their bridal suite? It's on the top floor, open concept. They will renovate the bathroom too. ;)

My coordinator is Valerie! :)) yup they are all nice ppl!
I didnt get to see the bridal suite :/ both times i went down, the suite wasnt available for viewing. The best i could see was via online pictures hahahah!
My only concern was if its open concept... then when i wanna change to my gown etc, i need go to the bathroom? If the floor all wet how? :( Hahahahaha.

Hi Traciee,
Not to worry, the bathroom is spacious and you should have ample space to change the gown. If not, can just change in the bedroom, only you and your husband to be, so think it's ok. There is a full length mirror in the bedroom so you can see that everything is ok before you go to the banquet. The bridal suite is also located near the lift, very convenient for going up and down. :)

There was a wedding showcase on Sat 15-11, we went there early at 11am, and after looking at the ballroom, my SO requested to see the the bridal suite as he is very particular about cleanliness and comfort. The bridal suite has just been cleaned up when we take a few minutes to see it. It's open concept as no partition between the bedroom and living room. Hope that helps. :)

It's not really a walk in wardrobe, the wardrobe is beside the bathroom, hence you can change your clothes there as well.. :)

Hi Hazel..
No worries, I understand your worries. From the past post on this thread, there aren't any reviews on food yet. Although there are no good reviews on the food, there are none bad reviews too. I personally think that the food won't be too bad for a banquet. The menu looks reasonable. You can try the food at food tasting and let the chef knows if the taste isn't right. I feel that at least there is only one ballroom so the chef can really concentrate on the banquet food. Just my thinking.. It's all depends on luck I think. Some 5 stars hotel didn't really serve good food and some service is bad too.

my AD is on 31 May! :) on a sunday, next day PH hehe. so can rest more.

yeap! contract stated Studio 4. the last room at the corner before u turn down the stairs to the ballroom :) I've seen the room and it doesn't look like a storeroom la :) dont worry!

but i've requested for studio 1/2 instead (the one beside the ballroom, within the foyer area). valerie told me she will update me again by end of this year if i can change to studio 1/2 cause tentatively it's used till 11am for church thingy :)

My SO didn't like the studio 4 room. We didn't get a chance to see it on the wedding showcase as there are people inside. Miss Zaiton mentioned that the church activity only ends at 12 or 1pm.. Do you know how many people attending this type of activity? Not sure will there be a crowd at the foyer after the activity ends? :( Thanks

I've gone for my food tasting as my luncheon is in Jan. Overall I would say the food is nice, there were a few that stood out (the yam paste was a huge hit) and we made a couple of suggestions to tweak the food to our liking. I don't think I have much to worry about the food...

I am so glad to hear that from you! Yeah! I am taking luncheon, glad that the food is yummy! And the Yum Paste is my favourite dessert! May I know how about the fish dish? Which fish did you choose? Thanks.
Will you be having your soleminsation in the function room too? How is the room? And which room was used? As I just knew about some church activity will be held in the function room beside the ballroom and am worry that there will be a mess once the church activity ended. Any advise on that? Thanks. :)

Hmmm. I've took a peek in studio 4 before and it looks like a normal function room to me tho. Maybe 1 day u can request to take a look?
Valerie told me the event will end around 11am and they will be informed to 'evacuate' that space before my guests arrive. Im not sure how many but I don't think it will be alot.. maybe I'll try double checking with valerie again.. who knows the church thingy might not renew their contract by the end of the yr? :p
Even if so, I believe the hotel staffs will know what to do :)

Zaiton did mention the church events at the function room but I dunno how's it like during the morning. I don't think they will be too noisy since its a hotel after all, anyway there's nothing we can do about it...

We get to choose 1 item from 3 options for our wedding luncheon, so u can sort of mix and match haha... For the fish dish, we chose the fish in Cantonese style I think.

Are you the same Sher1234 who posted in another thread about hotels with 20 tables, who mentioned about looking at the dinner banquet at hotel fort canning?

I read that thread and remembered that you mentioned here that u booked with concorde hotel?

Hi Lemons, yes.. It's me too. We are looking around as we might need to forfeit the deposit and look for another venue. The reason is because my SO is concern about the church activity that is going on, on everyday Sunday. He is worried that it will be messy. :(

Hi Traciee, yes, the coordinator did mention but at that time we didn't know that it is right beside the ballroom until we ask is there any other functions for solemination other than the studio 4. It's ok it's our fault that we didn't listen carefully.

hello all here!

im a concorde btb and my wedding will be in dec 2015!

and im new to the forum too!! so just here to say hi! :)

my coordinator is valerie but i had met up with zaiton as well. both very nice ladies!

am totally pleased with the flexibility of menu, the pillarless ballroom and an easy-to-reach coordinator!
the only downside is probably that the building is old. not as well-known to ppl..
