Oh, I mean my 4 pieces Jewellery for Guo Da Li. The bridal shop is providing me the costume Jewellery but I don't know how they look like. Do you know what accessories is the bridal shop providing you? I thought to Buy some just in case I don't like theirs

I see. I have not seen the costume jewellery from the bridal shop, but it should be almost the same as the one we use for pre-wedding photography. Yes, good point to buy some in case the jewellery they provide does not appeal to you! :)

  • now doing the banquet list and hoping to have the invitation cards ready by end Aug or early Sept.
so many things to do!

where are you ladies going to get your dowry set?

i'm doing a little bit of research and so far Le Knot gives the most comprehensive detailed explanation. their service is superb even if you don't buy their package! :p

you can go to their website where they have mini clips that explains about the basic: Betrothal set, dowry set and bed setting.

their prices can be quite steep for their package. not sure if I shld just go to Chinatown to get ala-cart items...

so fast can book solemnizer?? my weddg shoot is end Aug... still hasnt found my weddg shoes.. haiz by whn must both side parents meet.. suddenly like so lost hahha
 
I'm having solemnization at ROM itself. PS done, waiting for BS to edit the photos n do layout. Parents have met, now headache is trying to figure out what we need to buy for GDL, do childhood montage, settle invites, choose AD gowns...

hope it will be a great weather on that day..
i bought mine from heatwave (zalora) and another one from B&G (Peninsula shopping centre) ,which was most unexpected as my size is really small.
so it's hard to find my size from usual shops , and its cheap!

As of now almost 10 solemnizer rejected me... quite a few are not in town... so upset...

Cos really popular date...No choice but to get one tat is serving my neighborhood

Can i ask, normally how long before the invited should send out?

Hi... I have the same problem as well.. most of them are booked or out of town... sigh
 
Thats what we tot so too...but apparently otherwise. Those popular ones are fully booked on the date of my wedding!

Advise out there, do book early if you have someone in mind!

Yes agreed... I also started searching two weeks ago and was surprised that most of them are not available on our wedding.day
I was rejected by almost 15 solemnizer.. luckily a solemnizer introduce his partner to us... and finally a JP agree to be our JP

seems like the date is drawing nearer and a lot of things unprepared still

We asked Dr Phua in June i think but he is unable to make it after confirming with him recently. (a bit sad)
Have to look ard and managed to source for another JP that we like - will be kiv meeting him in mid aug for the details

Album still in the layout stage - left with 2 pages to edit
Doing up the banquet list and invite our friends now - wedding cards should be ready by mid/ end aug
GDL - not settle yet; likely need to wait till Sept/ Oct
4 dian jin & dowry - haven't finalise yet
Actual day planning - nt out yet!!!

and the list just goes on & on~~~

I'm doing solemnisation before dinner too! We fix it at 6.30pm so that the guests have some time for reception… (pics, food, drinks)

I haven't meet my hotel coordinator too, just email correspondence. The wedding cards and inserts are done by external vendors, hotel will inform you to collect from them :)

still haven't finish inviting yet, taking my own sweet time

any idea when is a good time to choose gowns?

hm, just note of the tasting and display of the dishes. They will pass you a form to write for each dishes, and also took every photos of the dishes.
let them if its too salty, or u wanted the dishes to be served hot during AD dinner too.
Yes, i saw my hotel banquet manager was there to intro and guide us during the trial dinner. after that, the chef also came to ask on the food's tasting.
overall, luckily parents are ok with the foods, that is the most impt..

i asked my bridal on the timing too, he say 2-3 weeks before is ok for mine.
maybe u could check with your bridal for better opinions.
not too early cos you might slim down more before your AD..

Apparently my HTB is unable to find one "good fortune" mei ren for guo da li. So we are kinda stuck now...

Any ladies can share advices?

I've heard of that. But I think definition of good fortune should be purely those have kids or even better, grandchildren...Need not be rich or what.. If I am not wrong, need not be relative. I think frenz also can. I think If really want good fortune, just avoid those that are widow or those still in mourning period??
 
Yah...after discussing with my mom, she is ok that he come alone or getting friends for help in carrying stuffs...phew! Otherwise is gonna be a headache to find one relative for help!
