Belinda And Sidhesh’s Artfully Botanical Wedding At PARKROYAL COLLECTION Marina Bay
Nature’s beauty celebrated the union of Belinda and Sidhesh with modern elegance at PARKROYAL COLLECTION Marina Bay.
From Tinder to tying the knot, Belinda and Sidhesh dedicated the rest of their lives to each other at PARKROYAL COLLECTION Marina Bay. Surrounded by idyllic floral decor that elevated the occasion with quintessential flair and an emerging rainbow overhead, it was just as if their marriage was set abloom by Mother Nature’s promise itself.

Tell us about how the two of you met.
We went to the same University but were in different majors, so we were never in the same classes. We had some mutual friends, so Belinda first noticed Sidhesh among his group of friends. However, only after we matched Tinder did we start talking. We didn’t exactly click on the first date and almost didn’t go out for a second date. But thank goodness, we did! It was definitely better than the first when we realised we had so much in common. On our fourth date, time flew by so quickly and we spent 11 hours together. That’s when we knew we shared something special. With more time spent with each other, we grew to realise we had similar goals and visions in life. We became best friends, and the rest is history.
What made you fall in love with your partner?
Sidhesh: It’s the way she makes me feel when we spend time together — you know how you’d usually get sick of someone after spending too much time with them? My problem was wanting to spend more time with her.
Belinda: The more time we spent together, the more I realised how similar we both are. I love that at the end of the day, he is the only person I really want to talk to.
What was the proposal like?
Sidhesh: I wanted to create something unforgettable. To break away from the typical marriage proposals, I decided to plan something pretty special. We were about to go on a trip together, so I planned the holiday with the intention of proposing. While on holiday in Phuket, I booked a private boat tour to visit the Phi Phi Islands. This gave us the ability to explore at our own pace and without battling the crowds. After a fun day of snorkelling, we arrived at Maya Bay just in time to catch the sunset and had the entire beach to ourselves. That’s when I popped the question, and she said “yes”!
What was the wedding theme and how did you create it with Liz Florals?
We first stumbled upon Liz Florals when Belinda was scrolling on Instagram, trying to find a florist with a style she resonated with. She wanted a florist that could create arrangements that were both timeless and romantic. The original theme was to have an all-white wedding, but we decided to add some slight pink hues to soften the overall look. Liz was so kind and patient throughout the entire process, answering questions promptly and giving wonderful suggestions. She understood the brief and executed it really well. Belinda was especially impressed by her flower bouquet. As we did not want a conventional wedding arch, Liz provided large flower stands that acted as the backdrop for our solemnisation ceremony. It added a unique touch that fit our theme perfectly, and garnered many compliments from our guests as well.
How did you infuse both of your cultures into the celebration?
Belinda: On Friday, two days before the wedding, our families conducted a mini blessing ceremony for the couple and a henna party for the ladies. We invited close friends and family for this occasion. The blessing ceremony was led by the elders in the family, our parents, aunts and uncles, and Sidhesh’s grandmother, to give us their blessings ahead of the wedding. We wore traditional Indian outfits for this occasion. After exchanging the rings, Sidhesh also tied the Thali, which is a gold necklace, around my neck as a symbol of our marriage. The Tea Ceremony was held after the solemnisation and included both sides of the family. It was a special moment, having to offer tea to our elders. To us, it signified our union as a couple, no longer being individuals. On the actual day, we also wore traditional Indian outfits apart from our Western-style wedding outfits. I wore a stunning Lehenga and Sidhesh wore a grand Kurtha.
What was your wedding day like and what was the most memorable part of it?
It was chaotic, but in a good way! If we could change one thing about it, it would have been holding the reception during dinnertime. That way, we would have had more time to get ready and prepare, as well as more time at night to party after!
Belinda: It was raining on the morning of our wedding, but we saw a rainbow immediately after the rain subsided. It was so memorable, it felt like a sign that it would be a good day and that the union was blessed.
Sidhesh: Our flower boy burst into tears when he saw that all eyes were on him once he started walking. Poor boy! Thankfully, his dad was there to console him and our solemnisation went on without a hitch. Saying our vows in front of the most important people in our lives was definitely a core memory for me.
