Beaven and Suchada’s Blue and White Fairytale Wedding at Shangri-La Singapore

Beaven and Suchada celebrated their fairytale wedding in a grand celebration at Shangri-La Singapore with their family and friends.

Beaven and Suchada met through friends, and for him, it was love at first sight. Love blossomed between the two, and before they know it, they were planning their wedding to celebrate their love. With only a month left to plan a grand wedding for over 500 guests, Beaven and Suchada placed their trust in wedding planner Rosette Designs & Co to turn their fairytale wedding into a reality at the Island Ballroom in Shangri-La Singapore.

Share with us your story. How did the two of you meet?

Suchada: We first met when one of my friends brought her along to our gathering, and it was then that I knew what love at first sight meant. I felt scared and excited, all whilst my mind was playing out our future together.

What drew you to each other?

Suchada: Her kind-heartedness drew me towards her. Although she is hard-spoken and quick-tempered, she is a soft-hearted person at heart and holds no grudges towards anyone.

Tell us about your wedding. What was your wedding theme?

Suchada: Our wedding planner, Rosette Designs & Co, has been invaluable in providing us with thoughtful recommendations. With only one month left to plan, we faced limited options for venues. We needed a location that could accommodate over 500 guests and support our specific decor set-up needs. Their guidance has been essential in helping us navigate these challenges and find the right fit within our tight timeframe.

Our wedding theme was “Fairytale”. I love the blue and white colour combination, so they designed an elaborate stage set-up with a custom backdrop and gate adorned with fresh flowers. Our goal was to transform the ballroom into an immersive experience for our guests. With Rosette’s help, we managed to achieve this. They did an impressive job, especially given the short timeline of less than three weeks to execute the decor and fabrication.

Take us back to your wedding day. What was the day like and how were you feeling?

Suchada: I was feeling nervous, excited, blessed, and happy all at once! The last time I felt this way was back in secondary school, when I had to perform in front of the entire school. All the attention was on me, and it felt like the stage was made just for me. And on this day, I was experiencing those same feelings all over again.

Share with us the most memorable moment of your wedding?

Suchada: The first march-in at our wedding was unforgettable because I had never experienced anything like it before. Seeing so many people gathered to celebrate this important day with me was overwhelming. It was the day that the girl I love became completely mine. As I walked in, my eyes filled with tears, but when I looked to my right and saw my wife beaming without a single tear, I had to hold mine back!

What is one lesson you’ve learned from your wedding planning that you’d like to share with other couples?

Suchada: One key lesson we learned during our wedding planning is to be as specific as possible about our vision and trust the team we’re working with. With such a short planning period, clear communication was essential, and trusting our vendors to bring everything together made a big difference. We’re incredibly grateful for their hard work and would advise other couples to be clear about what they want but also trust their team to make it happen.
