Nadine and Derek’s Retrofuturistic Arcade and Skate Park Pre-Wedding Shoot
Nadine and Derek revisited their old dating haunts, this time in their wedding finery, for a cool and retrofuturistic lifestyle pre-wedding shoot in an arcade and a skate park!
Nadine Neo, 27, Lawyer and Derek Tan, 30, Lawyer went from sharing an office to sharing a life. Falling head over heels for his jokes at the firm, Nadine was then playfully threatened with a fall overboard during their romantic rowboat proposal in Japan. The couple reminisced their first few dates at a bar and a skate park in a fun, brightly coloured shoot!
How did the two of you meet?
Derek: We’re actually colleagues in the same firm! Typically, each room in the office is shared by two junior lawyers of the same gender. However, when Nadine first joined the firm, there was no other available seat, and she got placed in the same room as me. She then (naturally) fell head over heels for me.
What made you fall in love with your partner?
Derek: EVERYTHING!!!
Nadine: His sense of humour…
What was the proposal like?
Nadine: It happened in a rowboat along Takachiho Gorge in Japan! Derek asked by saying, “If you say no, I’ll push you out of the boat”.
Where did you go for your shoot, and why?
We went to Level Up bar, and East Coast Skate Park. One of the first few dates we had was spent hanging out at a bar that has since closed down. Another was spent skating and rollerblading at East Coast Park.
The whole shoot experience was really enjoyable. Andri made us feel at ease, and gave us clear directions on how we should pose or what we should do. We are very grateful to Andri for the magical photos!
When will the wedding be, and what are your plans for it?
Our wedding will be on 1 February 2025. We will have our wedding mass in the morning at the Church of St. Teresa, followed by our wedding dinner and after party at JW Marriott Singapore South Beach! We used SingaporeBrides as a wedding resource, especially at the start when we were trying to decide on where we wanted to host our wedding dinner.
