A Charming Indoor Styled Shoot with Minimalist Details and Romantic Fall Colours

Fall in love with the sweet autumn tones in this dreamy, minimalist set.

There is something enchanting about Fall that never fails to capture our hearts. A season of transformation where vibrant tapestry of reds, oranges and yellows gradually fades to captivating warm muted tones, there is plenty of inspiration to glean from this beautiful season.

Inspired by the change in colours and the natural transition of floral and fauna, wedding stylist Lily & Co. dreamed up of an intimate styled shoot filled with the charms and colours of the Fall season that would be perfect for pre-wedding or couple shoots.

Set against the timeless hues of ochre brown, sand, caramel, dark nude, and dusty rose, with pops of coral peach and blush pink as accent colours, the team set out to re-create the old charm of romantic European cities.

“We chose an indoor studio with off-whitewashed walls for a blank minimalist canvas, as we wanted to create a single focal point to evoke a sense of longing, romance and tranquility through the use of textures and organic silhouettes created by the untamed organic flowers and overflowing drapery,” Lily and Co. explains.

The team decided to keep styling to the minimal for a clean and romantic look, with the highlight on the natural beauty of the wild floral arrangements and dried foliage that added detail to the entire set. The first set features a single couch placed in the center of the dreamy floral arrangement, placing focus on the couple and the love they share, as they bask in each other’s company. Elements such as woven baskets, large rattan lanterns, candles and blooms encapsulated in glass domes were added to the set for an extra touch of enchantment and warmth.

The groom wore a dark burgundy-brown suit with clean and classic lines, to complement the muted Fall tones of the floral arrangement, while the bride dressed in a soft, flowy A-line tulle gown with a corseted sweetheart bustier and a removable tulle cover. The airy and fluid shape of the dress adds a touch of dreaminess and softness to the overall look, playing into the team’s vision of using overflowing drapery to create a sense of romance and whimsy.

“For the second set, we styled a dining table for a candlelit dinner, creating a tablescape with similar natural elements used in the first set for a cohesive look,” Lily & Co. shares. “Minimal greens, lush florals such as Quicksand Roses, blush Phalaenopsis Orchids, and Spider Mums were used alongside gold tableware and woven placement mats to create an intimate space for a romantic date and dreamy conversations.”

For the more intimate second set, the bride changed into a form-fitting gown with a low, sultry neckline, sexy cut-out sides and intricate embroidery that stands out against the nude underlining of the gown. To complement her more sultry and elegant look, the groom swapped the darker coloured suit for a muted brown 3-piece suit.

For couples seeking ideas for their pre-wedding shoot or even a regular couple’s shoot, styled shoots are a great place to look for inspiration and discover creative ideas and possibilities that you have never thought of. We hope this Fall inspired styled shoot by Lily & Co. and their team of partner vendors have inspired couples who are searching for minimalist yet romantic styling in an indoor setting for their pre-wedding or couple shoot.
