These 10 Beautiful Real Weddings Cost Singapore Couples $30,000 and Below
You may have heard that the average wedding cost in Singapore is $30,000. These couples hosted beautiful weddings that cost $30,000 and below! Read on to find out how they did it.
If you’re newly engaged, you may be wondering about the average cost of weddings in Singapore. How much will you need to spend to host the wedding of your dreams? The answer depends a lot on the style and scale of your wedding. You may have heard that the average wedding in Singapore costs at least $30,000. While that may be true, how much your unique wedding will cost will depend entirely on what makes up your wedding.
Brooklyn Nine Nine sweethearts Jake and Amy planned a big wedding in a mansion, but when all of that fell through due to a bomb threat, they held a wedding that was perfect for them, in the street, in a borrowed wedding dress, on a shredded paper aisle. Your dream wedding doesn’t have to cost an arm and a leg; it just needs to reflect your personalities and what’s important to you. In fact, if you don’t care for a big celebration, you could get legally married at the Registry of Marriages for just $42!
What Impacts Weddings Costs in Singapore?
The biggest factor to your cost will be the number of guests you invite; the fewer the guests, the lower your cost. Your wedding venue plays a big part in your budget too. A grand hotel will cost more than a restaurant, but most hotel wedding packages are inclusive of many peripherals that could otherwise sneak into your budget; sound systems, venue styling, wedding favours, solemnisation venue rental, bridal suite—all these could be included in a wedding package at a more traditional wedding venue.
Many alternative wedding venues such as outdoor venues, Western restaurants, or cafes offer wedding packages as well, but included items vary. To get the most bang for your buck, be sure to weigh the costs of a la carte items versus an all-inclusive wedding package.
Your wedding style and expectations will also heavily influence your wedding. From a simple wedding dress bought online, to an off-the-rack rental gown, to a custom-made designer wedding gown—there are many options and a wide range of prices when it comes to your wedding look. Similarly, for each other item on your wedding checklist, costs will vary depending on what you choose. If you have a “fancy b*itch groom gut” like Jake, be prepared to increase your overall budget!
When planning for your wedding costs, you should also be aware that some items may cost more on paper, but come with better value. For example, purchasing a bespoke suit would be more expensive than renting one off the rack, but you would be able to reuse it on multiple occasions instead of wearing it for one day. Booking the more beautiful and expensive wedding venue may end up a better deal than the cheaper venue which requires a lot of florals and styling to look good on your wedding day.
The key to holding your dream wedding on a dream budget is prioritising the things that are most important to you, whether it’s the vibe, or the venue, the food, or the guest experience. To get a better idea of what you can achieve for your wedding budget, here are 10 beautiful real weddings by couples who spent $30,000 and under. To maximise their budgets, they focused their efforts on the things that mattered most to them, and many kept their guest lists small to create the best wedding experience for their guests. Read on for inspiration as we count down to weddings that only cost $10,000!

As our wedding happened during the Circuit Breaker, we had to cope with some of the strictest restrictions such as no dining-in rules. I was absolutely blown away with the execution as well as the cheerful palette of pink, purple, yellow, orange, and green. We also arranged for a floral bar within the restaurant, with an on-site florist, who made takeaway floral bouquets for our guests to bring home. Guests were also invited to bring home the tropical fruits that were part of the table display.

Nature-loving couple Ming Tong and Daryl wanted a beautiful, botanical venue for their reception, and chose Botanico for its location, reasonable price, and customisable wedding package. The couple played upon the restaurant’s lush greenery and planters to come up with a foliage-heavy wedding theme, and brought costs down by doing all the styling themselves with low-waste, repurposed, and sustainable DIY craft ideas.
“Ultimately, what we loved most about the venue was the abundance of lush greenery,” they say. “There was already existing hanging planters and greenery in the restaurant, and that already made for a good backdrop for the additional floral décor, so all we had to do was to complement the existing greens and add more “oomph!” We were constantly trying to inject low-waste ideas into our décor as much as possible! I think we were quite lucky, because we are both quite crafty in our spare time, so we just made use of the things we’re most familiar with and recycled these ideas for the wedding!” The couple did the decorations themselves, hand-poured candles, and printed all their charts and signages too.
