Traditional Craftsmanship and Modern Luxury with Artisanal Flair

Wedding atelier Artisanal Flair was founded to offer both brides and grooms a personal wedding styling experience with their artisans’ deep knowledge of bridal as well as menswear design.
A boutique wedding atelier, Artisanal Flair was founded when bridal artisan Tilly Soelistyo and menswear artisan Cheryl Yeo decided to put their considerable talents and more than a decade of fashion experience together, to offer couples an atelier where both their bespoke wedding fashion needs could be met. The accomplished designers have dressed celebrities such as Jeanette Aw, Amy Cheng, and Cassandra See, and Tilly’s expertise in designing wedding gowns and Cheryl’s skill in crafting bespoke suits offer soon-to-wed couples an exciting wedding styling experience that they can share and enjoy together.
With its founders’ Peranakan heritage of intricate embroidery, bold motifs, and elaborate beadwork, Artisanal Flair is known for weaving tradition with modern luxury to craft couture pieces for the fashion-forward couple. Clean silhouettes are elevated with luxurious ruffles or beautiful heritage motifs to create glamorous, one-of-a-kind wedding gowns, and suits are impeccably tailored and finished with sartorial accessories.
Artisanal Flair’s wedding gown collections clearly reflect the atelier’s signature aesthetic of heritage woven with contemporary couture. “We wanted a part of our collections to reflect our heritage,” shares bridal artisan Tilly. “Hence, we introduced elements of auspicious embroidery into our debut collection, and carried that concept into this season’s collection.” Exquisite embroidery and traditional tassels are featured on the vibrant Kong Que Cape in Artisanal Flair’s latest collection titled “Between Earth and Sky”. For brides who love the versatility of changing up their wedding look, the new blush halter neck gown Belle with its luxurious floral and pearl embellishment allows you to add glamour and drama to your silhouette with detachable ruffled sleeves and a tiered tulle train worthy of the red carpet.
Having styled and designed for hundreds of brides, Tilly understands that every bride has a unique style. Therefore, Artisanal Flair offers three different bridal ranges—Modernist for the minimalist bride, Exclusive for the brides who want to honour their heritage, and Luxe which comprises artisanal evening gowns and Berta couture gowns. And of course, the atelier offers bespoke services. “When it comes to designing a bespoke gown, my focus is always the bride,” says Tilly. “My goal is to create the gown of her dreams that reflects her personal style and flatters her figure so she can wear the gown with confidence.”
At Artisanal Flair, the grooms are not neglected. They go through consultation and embark on a design process which results in bespoke suits that reflect their styles and personalities. Guiding grooms on their sartorial journey is menswear artisan Cheryl. With a stellar career in menswear, Cheryl believes in empowering her clients with a wardrobe that is true to who they are, so that they look and feel fantastic. “My absolute favourite parts of the process would be the first appointment and the final fitting,” says Cheryl. “The first appointment is fun because I get to know more about the groom’s style and personality; it’s like making a new friend! And we’ll start the journey of designing his suit based on who he is and what he likes. And I love the final fitting when the groom wears his finished suit with accessories, which plays like a final reveal in a Netflix fashion makeover episode. The oohs, aahs, and smiles from the groom (and the bride) warm my heart.”
From 5 to 7 November, Artisanal Flair will be celebrating its first anniversary with an open house event entitled The Wedding Soiree. It will be taking up to four appointments a day as part of its safe management measures.
