A Japanese Inspired Sweet Romance at Keyaki Garden Pavilion

In our first styled shoot of the year, we bring the sweet tones of Spring to a traditional Japanese garden pavilion.

When Pan Pacific Singapore invited us to style their latest wedding venue, Keyaki Garden Pavilion, we were more than thrilled to do so. Inspired by the delicate and whimsical cherry blossoms in Japan, Yours Fetefully and The Bloomish Eden imagined what a Japanese inspired Spring time wedding would look like and together with the help of our team of wedding creatives from Joydevi, Bypattcia, The White Mart Calligraphy, Ethereal, Gen.K Jewelry, TWG Tea, Crate and Barrel, and talent Rachell Tan, we conjured up a romantic and modern look for the Japanese inspired pavilion

Surrounded by a beautifully sculpted Japanese garden and koi pond, the newly renovated Keyaki Garden Pavilion is a stone’s throw away from the main Keyaki restaurant on Level 4 of Pan Pacific Singapore, renowned for the mastery of the Chefs and their fresh seasonal ingredients. Fashioned after a traditional Japanese garden pavilion with shoji screens, the pavilion is the perfect size for a solemnisation or an intimate party of 40 guests.

Other than solemnisations, weddings, and private events, we found the quaint pavilion a perfect size for tea ceremonies too! To complement the contemporary furnishings of the pavilion, we found modern and chic teaware from TWG Tea, who kindly loaned us their French Teapot in Gold, Glamour Tea Bowl in Gold and White, and My Tea Tray in White to complete the elegant and modern tea ceremony vision Dionne and Krystal from Yours Fetefully imagined for a modern tea ceremony.

Brides-to-be who are tea addicts will be thrilled to know that TWG Tea carries a black tea named Grand Wedding Tea, a fragrant black tea blended with sunflowers and breathtaking exotic fruits. Talk about a meaningful tea for your tea ceremony!

Keyaki Garden Pavilion’s one-of-a-kind oriental look also made it the perfect location to showcase Ethereal’s latest kimono cheongsam collection. Our beautiful talent, Rachell, rocked two pastel numbers from the collection, Megumi, a mermaid silhouette with a crane and peony embroidered kimono fabric and Aimi, a mermaid with Japanese forest themed ombré kimono fabric in lush charmeuse satin.

We paired Ethereal’s beautiful kimono cheongsams with a set of modern jade jewellery from Gen.K Jewelry. Featuring the Sundial series comprising of Earring, Ring and Necklace, and the Allure Bangle, these stylish jade accessories are a great Si Dian Jin alternative for brides who do not fancy traditional gold jewellery but still want a timeless heirloom. We loved that the Sundial Earring can be worn two ways – with or without the pearl drop jade for an elegant or more casual look!

To complement the unique oriental look of the pavilion, Dionne and Krystal dreamed up a sweet palette of pinks and peaches with modern Japanese inspired touches like paper fans and origami cranes. Inspired by the Japanese art of flower arrangement, Ikebana, Michelle from The Bloomish Eden created a free-flowing, organic floral arch that provided the perfect frame for a solemnisation against the traditional Shoji screens.

Patricia from Bypattcia took the cue from Dionne and Krystal’s sweet pastel palette and dolled Rachel up in a romantic look of complementary pink makeup. To showcase the gorgeous details on the high collars of Ethereal’s kimono cheongsams, Patricia swept Rachell’s hair up into a stylish up-do.

Dionne and Krystal rounded up their vision of a Japanese inspired Spring time wedding with a cosy dinner setup. Instead of large, chunky floral pieces, they opted for a mixture of dainty florals in minimalist vases for a whimsical and feminine touch against the masculinity of the dark wooden table. Rather than the usual place cards, Dionne and Krystal had Celeste from The White Mart Calligraphy letter on granite tiles for that extra something special.
