Highlights of the Chijmes Wedding Experience 2018

Missed out on the year’s first wedding showcase at Chijmes Hall last week? We share with you the highlights of the afternoon’s happenings.

On 22 April 2018, we were invited to the Chijmes Wedding Experience 2018, Chijmes Hall’s first wedding showcase of the year. We were excited to spend the lovely Sunday afternoon at the iconic heritage building and sneak a peek at the wedding offerings they had to offer for soon-to-be-wed couples.

Helmed by Watabe Wedding Singapore, the 19th century chapel has been a popular choice for weddings due to its strategic location, stunning architecture, enviable high ceilings and magnificent chandeliers, charming stained glass windows and signature multi-coloured terrazzo floor tiles. With a capacity of up to 300 guests for a sit-down banquet and a choice between a 4-5 course Modern or Western cuisine menu, it’s easy to see why Chijmes Hall is so desirable as a wedding venue.

A modern, deconstructed floral arch and an elegant long table set-up with dreamy fairylights and beautiful florals in a captivating palette of lush burgundy hues with a touch of urban vintage took center stage as it sat in the middle of the chapel, offering couples a glimpse of what their wedding might look like.

Peppered along the sides of the chapel were participating wedding vendors including in-house photographer Blisspixel Photography and bridal boutique Ethereal, Kafve Coffee, Kooks Creamery, Vocalise, Autelier Makeup, Bells and Birds, ML Studios, XOXO & Co., Ichiro Film and Tung Lok Catering. Couples were invited to roam around and interact with the vendors, partake in the live photo prints and sample food and drinks.

Besides experiencing the iconic Chijmes Hall, couples were brought on a Grand Tour to view Watabe Wedding Singapore’s latest and second wedding venue, Alcove at Caldwell House. Located within the CHIJMES compound just a stone’s throw away from Chijmes Hall, Alcove at Caldwell House is a charming space with a one-of-a-kind circular dome, perfect for solemnisations and intimate celebrations for up to 100 guests.

Aside from their offering of two unique and iconic wedding venues, Watabe Wedding Singapore is also known for offering a holistic Chijmes Wedding Experience, a one-stop comprehensive wedding planning service, including venue coordination, in-house bridal boutique with stunning ready-to-wear bridal gowns and wedding photography.
