Walk Along With Me & Be Perfect at Alcove Wedding Showcase

Here are the highlights of Alcove at Caldwell House’s first wedding showcase.

In January, Alcove at Caldwell House held their first ever wedding showcase, featuring a brand new wedding theme and the latest bridal collection by Alcove’s in-house bridal boutique, ETHEREAL.

Located within the iconic Chijmes compound, Alcove at Caldwell House is Watabe Wedding’s second and latest wedding venue next to Chijmes Hall. Perfect for intimate weddings of up to 100 guests, Alcove’s pristine white walls, high ceilings, Neoclassical windows and its most distinctive feature, the dome, draw you in the moment you enter the beautiful space. One look at the original French inscription on the dome, Marche en ma presence et sois parfait, which translates into “Walk along with me and be perfect”, and you’ll have no doubts that Alcove was meant for weddings.

The quaint space was beautifully decorated with Alcove’s brand new wedding theme, Tropical Luxe, featuring modern botanical elements with a touch of opulence and a pop of colour. Couples were welcomed to mingle and speak to the afternoon’s participating wedding vendors such as Amperian, Autelier Makeup, Lightedpixels Photography, Kafve Coffee, Nineteen Design Studio and Souldeelight Creative Studio, at the grand gallery as they enjoyed delicious canapés and desserts by Elsie’s Kitchen before the much anticipated bridal gown showcase by Alcove’s very own bridal boutique, Ethereal.

Inspired by the French word “Efflorescence”, which means “to flower out”, Ethereal‘s 2018 bridal collection features nine exclusive bridal gowns in staple silhouettes that were elegant yet soft and dreamy at the same time, one statement piece as well as a range of exquisite headpieces and accessories. The collection represents the elegance of growth and development as akin to a budding youth, as innocent and pure as snow, and the opulence of sophistication as she rises with burgeoning wisdom and emerges with elegance and gracefulness like a budding rose after the storms.

The collection’s statement piece, Eudora, a full laced trumpet gown featuring a detachable train and an exquisite tiara offers brides the choice of two different splendid looks in one gown. Go with the detachable silk organza train for a grand entrance and remove it for your second entrance for a sexier, elegant and romantic look without changing in and out of gowns.

Couples were welcomed to take part in a bridal makeup and styling talk by the experts at Autelier Makeup and invited to Ethereal‘s boutique in Alcove for a try-on of their gowns after the inspiring bridal runway showcase. Alcove’s wedding planners were also present to speak to couples about their dream wedding and offer Watabe Wedding’s comprehensive wedding planning services to ensure a stress-free and memorable wedding experience for the newlyweds.
