Designer Feature: Sachin & Babi Launch Sequin Tees and Bomber Jackets for FW2018
Fresh, easy, and striking, Sachin & Babi’s Fall/Winter 2018 Bridal collection features sequin slip dresses, bomber jackets, and unexpected silhouettes for the girl with an effortless sense of style.
On 4 October 2017, Sachin & Babi launched a wildly romantic bridal collection for Fall/Winter 2018 at their Upper East Side boutique in New York, for New York Bridal Fashion Week. Their fourth bridal collection once again incorporates the intricate embroideries for which the husband-and-wife design house are known, marrying the rich detail with strong lines and statement silhouettes for the free-spirited brides of today.

Introducing thrillingly different pieces such as a jacquard bomber jacket and a sequined relaxed tee, Sachin & Babi have created a young, easy, and striking series of bridal wear for the girl with street style.
We’ve seen beautiful bridal jumpsuits on the runway, but this collection takes the bridal trend for pants further with their first look—a bomber jacket with exaggerated sleeves paired with full-sequin wide-legged pants. Wedding dresses keep it fresh too, with three-dimensional taffeta floral dégradé embroidery on light and airy tulle, or laser cut lace in bold, abstract patterns. Silhouettes are vibrant and surprising, as with the coat dress in floral thread work embroidery worn over a bustier top and pants, or the chic column gown with ultra-clean lines that suddenly bursts into cloud-like organza and tulle hand-embroidered florals in a low bustle.
The styling for the collection, with its richly textured statement earrings and easy hair, continues to paint the portrait of a young, vibrant bride with an innate sense of style and a romantic edge. She can throw on a slip dress and run up the aisle, or wear a bomber jacket to declare her love from a rooftop. Fresh and effortless, the collection feels like young love.
