Meiting and Shunxiong’s Dreamy White and Gold Wedding at Four Seasons Hotel
You’ve seen Meiting and Shunxiong’s beautiful pre-wedding shoot in Japan. Now, take a peek at their dreamy nuptials at Four Seasons Hotel.
Last August, popular influencer and former Singapore Airlines stewardess, Lian Meiting, 29, shared with us how she met her husband, Koh Shunxiong, 30, Real Estate agent and their charming pre-wedding shoot in Japan with Decollte Wedding Photo Group. Today, she shares with us how that spark started and gives us a peek at her dreamy white and gold wedding at Four Seasons Hotel.
What was it that attracted you two to each other?
Meiting: His perseverance and sweetness. Whenever I needed help, he was and still is always the one I will go to first.
Shunxiong: Her fun loving character – there will never be a dull moment with her around.
What about each other do you like the most?
Meiting: How grounded he is and no one in the world can make me laugh every single day like he can. Even after 10 years of dating.
Shunxiong: I love how she is the one person in the world who knows me inside out and yet is able to accept my flaws and make up what I lack.
What was your wedding planning like?
Meiting:Well, I was pretty last minute with my entire wedding planning. I didn’t want to start planning too early because I didn’t want to start feeling the wedding pressure yet. So, I only started to meet my wedding vendors four months prior to the wedding but everything went pretty smoothly and there wasn’t any huge hiccups along the way so I’m really thankful for that.
Share with us your wedding theme and the set-up by Medkarlek Inc.
My wedding theme was pretty simple. I wanted it to be classy and the wedding colours to be white and gold. Phillane from Medkarlek Inc. added touches of gold around the reception area with hand painted wedding quotes framed in gold. It was my dream to have baby’s breath lining the aisle and fairy lights on the stage – and Flowerstory and Midnightsparks did just that for me. The entire ballroom and reception area was so beautiful, I couldn’t ask for anything better.
Share with us your experience with Z Wedding Design.
I’ve heard so much positive reviews about Z wedding Design even before they contacted me, so imagine how happy I was to be able to work with them for my big day. Their gown designs are always so gorgeous and they always have gown collection launches every couple of months. The variety of gowns to choose from is endless. My favourite gowns have got to be my second march-in gown – which was a dark blue lace bare-back gown. I first laid my eyes on the gown at Z wedding Design’s wedding runaway show held at Chijmes Hall and I knew, in that instant, that I needed to try that gown on because I really loved it. And once I had it on and looked at myself in the mirror, I knew it was the one.
What was the actual day like? Were you feeling nervous?
I couldn’t sleep at all! I went to bed at midnight after writing my thank-you speeches and I ended up tossing and turning until past four in the morning. The entire wedding day flew by like a bullet train. I didn’t have time to stop and think much because we were running from place to place and my mind was filled with the things I had to do and bring to the hotel. Although it rained during the morning photoshoot and we had to change the location last minute, the photos still turned out great.
I’m sure your family and friends had a great time during your wedding.
They loved the gowns I wore and of course, the food provided. I had food catering from Neo Garden for the morning tea ceremony and the dinner banquet was at Four Seasons Hotel. Everyone had a great time during the wedding reception with the photobooth by La Novella Studio and they wiped the dessert booth, by Abite, clean.
Share with us one memorable memory from your wedding day.
When Shunxiong and I stood outside the ballroom with the doors closed before our first and second march-ins – those were the two moments where we were both finally able to be alone, collect ourselves and take in everything we were feeling. We stole a few quick kisses and smiled at each other like fools in love.
