Poignant Memoirs by Divine Couture
Divine Couture releases its 2015 collection, and it shimmers with all the signature delicate beauty that the design house has come to be known for.
I am alwaysimpressed by Divine Couture’s beautiful work, and the bridal design house’s latest collection, Poignant Memoirs,is no exception. Designer Kim’s delicate touch and refined aesthetics once again create wedding gowns worthy of a woman’s finest day. Masterfully cut to accentuate the female figure and adorned with handsewn floral appliqué and Swaroski crystal embellishments, the wedding gowns in this collection are a revisit to Divine’s classic silhouettes with a modern perspective. Each gorgeous creation in the collection reflects Divine Couture’s refined design aesthetic, featuring a gracefully feminine silhouette cut out of fine textiles and embroidered with finishing details.
Divine Couture has a talent for creating alluring silhouettes, and it shines in this collection. The fabrics are skillfully manipulated to create dreamy, frothy textures. Designer Kim showcases her craftsmanship with a beautiful gown with a lace peplum sculpted to emulate the curves of a blooming flower. Form-fitting bustlines are complemented with full skirts of silk tulle, tissue and silk organza cascading in soft folds that will shimmer with each movement as a bride walks down the aisle. Mermaid cut gowns flatter a bride’s figure and give her a sophisticated, feminine allure. The mermaid gowns crafted in lace offer a bride a sensual yet elegant choice, with the lovely details of Chantily lace spreading out into a dramatic train. One stunning mermaid features a finely pleated bodice and flares out with silk organza tiers to create a sleek and sophisticated modern look.
The collection highlights Divine Couture signature style of subtle glamour and pretty ornamentation. The designs never overpower the lovely silhouettes with unnecessary embellishment, but add a touch of sparkle with a jewelled waistline, and with the Divine’s signature translucent, plunging back adorned with a delicate line of Swaroski crystals. French corded, antique Chantily and Solstice laces treated with glass beads and crystals are handsewn on with a light touch to grace delicate veils and flowing trains. The added textures of these exquisitely embroidered embellishment put the finishing touch on luxurious gowns that catch the light with every movement of a bride walking towards her beautiful future.
