Alternative and Unique Wedding Venues Price List 2024/2025

Updated on 15 January 2024

If you have a smaller guest list or are looking to step out of the usual, cookie-cutter wedding box, check out our handy alternative and unique wedding venues price list for inspiration!

W ith big families to accommodate, many couples opt for the Singapore wedding tradition-a hotel ballroom wedding. Hotels often offer comprehensive wedding packages too, making wedding planning more convenient for time-pressed couples. While it’s easy to understand why hotel ballrooms are such a popular wedding venue option in Singapore, you might want something more unique for your celebration.

If you don’t have upwards of 200 guests to cater for, and or very traditional parents to answer to, an alternative wedding venue might be just what you need to personalise your wedding. With a cosier ambiance, more intimate guest list, and the freedom to style your wedding however you choose, alternative venue weddings are great for close-knit and unique celebrations where you can spend quality time with your nearest and dearest. To help you on your search for the perfect alternative wedding venue, we’ve got a couple of tips and a handy price list so you can check out capacities and minimum spends at a glance.

Beginning Your Search for an Alternative Wedding Venue

The search for an alternative wedding venue begins just like for a more conventional one. First, have an estimated guest list and a budget so you can shortlist venues with the right capacity at your price point. You should also have discussed your wedding style, and whether you’d prefer an indoor or outdoor solemnisation and reception, and whether you want a more elegant sit-down dinner or a buffet where your guests can mingle. Do Alternative Wedding Venues Cost Less than Hotels?

A common misconception in Singapore is that an alternative wedding venue such as a restaurant costs less than a fancy ballroom in a hotel. While hotel wedding packages may seem expensive at a glance, they are usually comprehensive and include use of the venue, food and drinks, audiovisual equipment, wedding invitations, and wedding themed décor. Restaurants and cafes require minimum spend for exclusive use of their space, and while some do offer wedding packages, often you pay for a la carte items instead, such as set meals per head, and décor, alcohol, furniture rental, and audiovisual systems are not included. When visiting your shortlisted venues, do enquire about what’s provided and factor in additional costs for things you need to source on your own.
