Hi all, need some advices...

It is regarding divorce procedures.

My SIL had gone through divorce and she told me, for normal divorce, it takes 3 years seperation then can proceed.

I was chatting with my friend on msn recently and she told me that her colleague just divorce, both married over 3 yrs liao, but both party consent to the divorce so the whole thing took only 2months plus and she only pay $2.5k.

Which is which??? Thanks.

I believe what your friend's colleague did was to back date the seperation period to the date that they ROM. That's what my friend is doing as well.

can.. both parties say they've been staying seperately loh.. if both say the same thing, no one can prove otherwise wat.. even staying in different rooms are considered seperated already.

to put it very simply ... divorce comes in 'packages' .. '3 years separation' package or the 'immediate' package .. and because nowadays divorce is becoming too common and the so called 'immediate' package can be 'used' easily ... where donkey years back, u must have very strong and valid reasons in order to file for divorce under the 'immediate' package.

Oh,

So this is true.

I personally call up the lawyer for the "immediate divorce package" and she told me I can just fil for unreasonable behaviour and as long as both parties agreed.

So now, I wouldn't be wasting my another 3 more years just to get out of these shits.

Thanks!
