Hi girls, I'm just curious as to the timeline...so that I can pre-empt and make the necessary arrangements. Thank u! :)

My fren n i took it 6mths before banquet. My fren used the photo in her wedding invites which is usually done 3mths before banquet and editing photo selection took 3 weeks for me so at least 6mths...

Depends on both you and your fiance' schedules as well as the PG's availability.. You want to give the PG sufficient time to process the photos and you'll also need enough time to select photos, design and process the album.. Of course, if you're planning to use the photo in the invitation card, you'll need an even longer timeframe.. For us, because of our crazy work schedules, we only did our prewedding photoshoot slightly less than 2 months before our AD. Got the photos about a month later. Managed to select the photos we want in about a day and spent another one more day designing our album before ordering it. Got our album in 2-3 days. We wanted to keep our invitation card simple so we didn't use any photos. For us, our timing was just nice.. Talk it through with your fiancé and PG so all parties can give each other opinions and decide on an appropriate date mutually.. ;)

I did mine almost 1 year ahead because of some other work commitments... but I was glad I did it that way because I don't like to cram things and having done the PS and album so far in advance puts me at ease to plan other stuff.
