Hi girls, any venues to recommend for Wedding Lunch Buffet? It can be both at cafes such as BlissHouse or even hotels. I think not many hotels offer lunch buffets for wedding?
Thinking of soleminising first then proceed with the lunch buffet :)

It also depends on how many guests you're looking at as some places will have a minimum and maximum number of guests that they can cater for. And no, there are actually quite many hotels that can cater a buffet lunch. When you enquire about their wedding packages, you will usually get quotes and menus not just for sit-down banquets but also for buffets... So some people actually opt for the buffet option instead of the banquet option...

I just happen to see two ROMs done at cafes recently! One was at Shrove Tuesday (in TPY) and the other was at Dutch Colony at Frankel. Both were really nice. The staff did up the place for them and it was a simple reception (not really a lunch)... place a bit a small though. I think only about 20-30 people?

Food for thought at botanic garden is a bit bigger so you can fit in more people. How many pax are you inviting?

Hey. There's quite a number of hotels offering wedding lunch! :) u can try considering royal plaza on scotts.. their buffet is from their famous carousel restaurant...
Or u can book burkhill hall at botanical gardens n cater thru rasel catering? I attending a friend's one recently and thought it was quite a good location :) she did the march in and solemnization downstairs before proceeding up to the banquet hall :)

Ps: hope you're still not feeling offended about the earlier thread! :)

Hi! Sorry, I haven't been logging in much...just saw this post...oops. It's ok, I'm not offended! :)

Thanks for ur advice! :D

Hmmm there is two ways of doing it in the hotel:
1. Book a function room for ROM and cater their buffet menu. Some hotel waives the function room rental if you have minimum pax.
2. Hold the ROM near the hotel eg if you are holding a simple ROM at fort canning, u can proceed to the hotels nearby for lunch. Or u can do ur ROM in a hotel suite then proceed to lunch,
3. I attended a wedding lunch buffet in a hotel before at Grand Hyatt and it's the same as banquet lunch - $100 to $150 per pax. Not worth it.

It depends on how many pax u are inviting for your lunch buffet.. Only family members or is it going to b your wedding lunch reception too?
If you are looking at 5-10 or even more tables can consider peony jade. Do an outdoor ROM and proceed indoor for banquet lunch at $500-700/table. I think 7-8 courses Cantonese cuisines lunch. Good deal ;) I did mine at peony jade many years back.

My friend did ROM and lunch buffet reception for 50 pax at One Rochester few years back. Only $5000 including the garden ROM setup and buffet lunch. It has the English living room setting and it's very cosy and nice :)
