Wedding gown (bought overseas photoshoot package already)

Hi all, I have already booked an overseas pre wedding photo shoot (bought it on a whim :X). As such, I do not have a wedding gown as part of regular wedding packages.

Just wondering for similar couples who had overseas photoshoot, how do you settle ur wedding gowns? Need help !!

I'm aware that there are wedding packages that include same day wedding gowns and other services but they are really expensive and the prices are comparable to getting a new package including prewedding photos -.-

oh dear! but look on the bright side. I believe you signed with them due to other reasons, eg good photography skills right?

a couple of options to consider
1. bring your own - casual style?, rent from bridal houses (might be ex), buy from taobao
2. check with ur vendor (photographer) if he can refer you to partner bridal houses that can rent it out at discounted prices

wedding scoop & pinterest are awesome places to get an idea on what to expect for overseas shoot. you do not need to change into many outfits..i guess 3 outfits will be great. most importantly, is to have a great photography to capture the moments.

Heys bunny thanks for replying. I mean the prewedding photoshoot provides all the necessary things so that's not an issue - including gowns

Just that because the package is overseas I don't have a gown for actual day .. so kindda need to know where I can get them from

ooo sorry for understanding wrongly. i went with two different bridal houses actually. i suggest going for the pre shoot first. if you like it, you can ask for a top up for ur actual day. i believe they will give u a good price since u r an existing customer. speak to them and see what they can do for you.

i signed my actual day package on a whim too -.-.

anyway, you can enquire with other bridal houses as well.

The company is entirely based in tw. We literally bought the package while shopping for bakkwa in china town and didn't do any market research or comparison -.-

Probably may need to get a AD package. Just that the ad package by itself is almost the same price as those packages where the company combined ad with pre wedding photoshoot .

So was wondering if ala Carte gowns might be cheaper

haha my preshoot was at taiwan too.

i suggest doing abit of research first to see if you wanna do ala carte or package. ala carte might be a little ex if you are going for popular photographer or make up artist.

Maybe you can ask your Taiwan bridal shop for the cost if you want to ship over for AD and do a compare with local AD gown package. For me, my Taiwan bridal shop told us that they will be open bridal shop in SG around May or June. So I only have to add a amount of money to rent AD gowns from their upcoming shop in SG.
