Wedding card printing

Hi! would just like to share with everyone our card-printing experience. We were initially going to go with the usual recommended printer, but unfortunately service rendered that day was substandard, and we were put off by the 3wk waiting period and high prices quoted just because they knew that they were the recommended printers.

We eventually found a much cheaper and friendlier alternative at Leadership Trading & Supply @ Peace Centre. Since we wanted to print B&W directly onto the cards, we designed the area to be printed, fitted exactly to the card's dimensions using Photoshop. Not only could we choose our own fonts and design any number and style of logos or icons to be printed for a fixed cost of A4 B&W printing (the recommended printers wanted ~$20 per logo, and printing was charged by the page, even though technically we were printing on the same face of paper!), but printing was done in 20min on the spot! Even the pre-printed hotstamp logo on the card was not affected by the printer, which was an issue with many other printers we encountered before we found Leadership.

FYI, we're not related to Leadership in any way. We just want to share with you that you don't HAVE to buy into the ridiculous and expensive 3wk recommendation.

In any case, you can go check Leadership out if you're not convinced; Allan's the boss there and he's pretty friendly.

All the best!

Hi Kass,

printing was just like normal B&W printing, 40c per piece for our 200+ cards. Yep, the cards were from our venue, the only part that was slightly tricky was accurately positioning the various items to be printed according to the card dimensions, during the photoshop designing =)

the recommended printer had a lot of money-sucking conditions, and on top of that quoted an estimated 3 weeks waiting period. printing on our own meant that we could add in fancy curliques and logos of our initials without any fuss or extra charges, in a fraction of the time =)
