Hi all!!!
I wonder if anyone has bought Traders Hotel Wedding Banquet Package for your upcoming wedding end of this year 2014.
I just understand from my wedding coordinator from Traders Hotel that the hotel will be renamed/rebranded as "Hotel Jen".
In the news, it says that there will be renovation at the end of this year 2014.

I was really shock and disappointed to know about this rebranding.
During the wedding show early this year when I have signed up this package, NONE of the Traders sales person mentioned about this rebranding and the upcoming renovation.
Although my wedding coordinator mentioned that renovation might not affect the function room, the outlook of the hotel is definitely not good for first impression to my guest (especially overseas guest). Also, who knows there might be noise drilling here and there and stuff for renovation lying here and there? Can the hotel really handle it well? There is always no guarantee no matter how the hotel ensure us until that very actual day.
If they are going to rebrand and going to do renovation, I may not have signed up the package.
These are all part of the consideration to sign up for a wedding banquet.
I just feel cheated!!!! I just feel they should not hide from customer about the plans for rebranding and renovation.
*sorry, if I am too worked up*
I bought wedding package from Traders because partly is of the reputation and is a 4 star hotel.
Now, it is rebranded to hotel jen (ok, sounds like Hotel JEM) which people have never heard before.
People thought it is a cheap hotel (probably a 2 or 3 star) and we have to explain all over again that it is a former trader hotel.
Anybody bought the wedding banquet and is having the same issue with Traders Hotel?
Dear friends, if you were me, what would you do ?! I really need some advice. THANK YOU!!!!!
