Taiwan bridal La Fatte Review

Hi all! Last year we have signed La Fatte photography package and we intend to go Taiwan and take our wedding photos soon.

Does anybody has their personal experience to share on this bridal? I read there are good & some bad reviews on Taiwan bridal. Eg. They will push you to buy more photos at a costly price.. And some push you to buy their Nubra and ampoules.

Does anybody know what brand of ampoules they are using? I intend to buy it myself before going there.

Mine 5 gowns 5 suit, 45 photos. when's ur wedding! Haha, I got 2 FOC AD gown on rental & FOC Suit. The catch is, shipping, $150/way per gown. Suit 1-way + $200 work fee.

Wow not too bad! I didn't know they could ship the gowns over. That was one of the reason I chose La Fatte.. Cos they really have wide range of gowns! Mine oct 2017.. Yours?

Oh no wonder! I have just asked them and they said they only can advise the cost of shipping the gowns back when I'm over there. Yup I'm bringing MUA out. Planning to go to Moncoeur and flower garden..

I think overall we spend almost sgd 6k for the whole packages, I know you guys will wonder how come :

firstly: they will ask u guys to purchase a makeup set due to hygiene so both me and spouse gt 1 set each,
2nd : like u guys, I brought my own ampoules and nubra, yet they told me that our ampoules are not as good as theirs etc so she recommend us to get 1o bottles @ sgd250 ++( if I'm not wrong).

3rd : Bring MUA out cost sgd300.

4th : be prepared to get your own shoes, they can tell u they do not have your size ( for both husband & me)

5th : at end of the photo taking, we are so excited to go bk to the shop to choose our pics ( b4 things go wrong) our package come with 42pic, total they took more than 700 pics, so we are trying to delect whatever we do like and left around 200++ including 42pics. the sales staff in Taiwan told us to top up sgd15k for that 100++ pics. that's really costly and we try to negotitaie but it fail so end up we just stick bk to our package. I can tell u, at the moment when we said we do not want to top up for the additional pics, the staffs give a kind of look and they can delect all pics infornt of u ( including the selfie that we took with the whole team and they promise to gave us) just because we didn't top up for the additional pics and they delect all pics infront of us.

Hi, just wondering how is the ampoules so expensive? Previous brides and even in receipt it states $27/vial. Doesn't seem right. 3. Bringing MUA out is upfront @ $270, so I will bring too and I know of these cost before even going over. (Stated on receipt) 4. Shoes wise also bring brief to bring. Will communicate with them on white shoes size 5. Usually Taiwan boutiques are like that, my Friend went over and delete till 30 they still v nice and ok.. Who's ur coordinators/contact person?

Hi Joanne, I'm cant remember the ampoules brand, but was encourage to get 10 and they said used all end of the photo taking session. for bring out MUA I do know upfront as well, I think is 300( hhaha maybe I remember wrongly). the sales staff in sg and Taiwan explain differently pertaining to the album size ( in sg , the staff will tell u this size is suitable for u guys, when u go Taiwan the staffs there will tell u , that " original size " doesn't looks good for your pic etc and keep pushing us to change . they wanted us to "upgrade " the album something like that. I do not know y they treat us in this way. but its really an unpleasant experience for us. but we do like some of the assistant as they are really friendly and helpful and try their best to to mix and match the suitable gowns. ya. I think its best to find out more b4 u go over. Shermie, when did you go over to La Fatte? I won't be preparing ampoules and nu bra. I will be getting from them and save the hassle. Estimated to use 10 bottles as well. I have communicated with them via email, so yes I know shoes must be brought along. I won't be spending so much on photos. So I hope I have self control. Haha. Hope your photos turn out good!

I’m letting go the pre-wedding photoshoot package as we have signed up another package in local bridal shop as well.
The package we signed with La Fatte worth SGD $3288, and we already paid SGD $2000 deposit. The package is quite worth for the quality as they have upgrade a better quality album and increase the photos quantity to 40 pcs x 24” (photo size is 15 x 24 “)

Package included:

1. 40 pcs photos (Size: 15” x 24”)
2. 5 growns + 2 suits
3. Free pick up from TaiChung HSR station. (can be arrange with the bridal shop via email)

* Can request the bridal shop assist to book the accommodation as they can get a better rate around SGD $80/ night.

i've just taken m photos with la fatte. overall great experience, very friendly staff but it's costly as compared to other taiwanese packages. we took about 71photos, in total plus all the hidden costs it came up to about $5-6k.

i wasn't unhappy with the photos so not sure about the retake part. no difficulties except the period i went it was right after the july typhoon season last year. so we didn't communicate with the photographer, but instead we spoke to his supervisor. some of our requirements didn't really went thru though. so i advise u must must must know what kind of shoots u want or dun want, best to show them photos as samples. after all our singaporean chinese not as fluent as taiwanese.

Yeah the staff were great, I didn't expect an almost PA-style service. They were very observant, and knows what I wanted before I voiced out.

I did a lot of homework on the venues. I went to 中社花市( lots is flowers), 愛麗絲的天空 婚紗基地 in miaoli (this is a multi-themed park for wedding shoots. A lot of themes and backgrounds for u to choose, both indoors and outdoors. Require an entrance fee) 通宵 beach for sunset shots.

I brought almost 1K for that trip. TOP up for stylist, car rental and additional photos. If u intend to purchase more photos from them, be sure to bargain ur way through.

I sign up with la fatte in a road show as well. Just taken photo on this year march. Photographer is macro. He is good and experiences. Photo came out great and yes, there were alot of hidden cost . Our package is around $7500, Vip gown 7 pc and 5 groom suit. My bf top up around $200 to get a suit from other store which they will bring you to and is much nicer. Ampuole i bring myself , Better to prepare own nude bra as i bought from them around $150-180 for that as we dont have enough time to buy over there as they say mine doesnt suit to wear in gown. We have around 70 free photos for 2 album and end up we pay $6000+ more to buy the photos as 70 photos not enough for 2 album. So for my advise is to be very firm not to buy .. if not they will psycho until u get to make your album looks more complete. so total spending for the photoshoot inclusive of transport and make up artist for 2 days sum up to $14000++

My make up artist is may, they know i am very particular on my make up and hairdo, so May is one of the most senior make up artist which is very experience.

I had my photoshoot with them last year in March and its a positive experience!

They always do frequent follows up of your photoshoot dates and venues you're looking at. The shop has a document that gives recommendations on th places you can have your shoot & th additional cost which may incur. They will also be able to reserve hotels on your behalf in taichung and if you're gonna stay one night prior to your shoot at a place away from taichung, they will arrange for tht as well.

Uncle peter picked us up at th train station after we arrive for suit selection, for mens its rather normal 3 suits only, blue, black & white. Of course you can bring your own for a better fitting. And we were told to bring our own dress or shirts & pants actually.
During gown selection, it was a petite lady who assisted us, she will ask whats your preference and colours bfore she brings you some choices.

During th photoshoot, rex is very nice and sometimes will make some jokes to make you feel relax and smile naturally. He is very attentive to details & will always ask th team to correct th dress and my hair, even make up. I went to Qing Jing & th few attractions along th way. On th photoshoot day, we had 4 person with us, 1 photographer (rex), which we specifically chose him, 2 assistant & 1 mua. I bought nubra from them which is of superb quality at 90sgd. I brought my own ampoules & the mua just use them. I bought 12, and we only used 2.

We spent a total of 7k - 8k. Of course, we topped up almost 70 photos at around 3k. Its very hard to resist getting more photos because its taken & done by professionals. Even if you keep telling yourself bfore hand and is very discipline, you will feel th urge to purchase because you only get married once. So in th end i had a total around 130 photos (21 behind th scenes which you dont pay), 2 big albums (those tht they always display or show to you, most expensive & best quality ones), 3 desk frames, 1 床头照. Btw, i didnt pay for th cost of an extra album, they only inform us that they will come up with 2 ablums for us as we had too many photos & it is too thick, so th 2nd album was FOC in a way.

Photo editing and collage took quite a while as we were not satisfied with what the lady had done and both albums were th same. So 1 of th albums was done as exactly how we want it. During shipment, one th boxes tht came with th albums were dirty and kind-of damage, they sent us another FOC. Also our 床头照 frame was damaged, another one was sent FOC with our chosen photo too! It was a nice gesture and we appreciate.

To conclude, we did not regret signing up with them at a roadshow way back (2013/14) and we were very happy with their services.

We actually didn't go through the road show. We bought over the NTD 2888 (S$3000) package from SGbride forum.

Just nice we intend to have our holiday at TW, we made time for the photoshoot.

Just a side note, you can consider buying over those package people are letting go. You don't lose anything actually. At the same time, seller do appreciate that you help them to absorb the cost.

Hi, from what i know you have to pay to enter some properties or locations that require entrance fee. But not all location requires.

Hi, from what i know you have to pay to enter some properties or locations that require entrance fee. But not all location requires.

Yes. Just certain location
Eg. 花市。 as a tourist / local u also need to pay entry fee. So in this case, u pay for the photography team.

But if u take photo in the public area. That's DOC of course
