Tailor-making a gown

Hello!

I am looking to tailor-make a dress. I am not looking for ballroom or the usual sweeping wedding gown as this is just for my engagement.

Am thinking of something simple, classy but longer (ankle-length), maybe with some lace details.

Are there recommendations of good tailors who can also provide materials? I have checked out the famous designers- Love Yu, JessicaCindy, AmandaLee etc, but their prices start from $2,000.

I am looking at a budget below $1,500, wondering if that is possible?

Hi, I have been looking around that budget too and so far I have found Stara Bridal in Orchard Central, Kelly Bridals in Oxley Bizhub, and Sartorielle (sp?) in Serangoon that all do custom make to rent for roughly around that price if not less.

May be you can try gown villa. I use her for my AD gown. Julia is a super nice people. Her shop is in a HDB and nice decorated. When you walk in you will feel you stay in home and relax. She only accept appointment no walk in.
