Solemnisation and Wedding Dinner

To all Brides and Brides to be, have anyone hold solemnisation and Wedding Dinner together on the same day?
I need some advise on this... Thanks

I inted to hold sole and dinner in a hotel, but how to invite the solemniser.. Do I need to register in the internet first..

12March is coming very soon man!

Search for a solemniser u wish to invite, and call him/her to ask if he/she is available on that dae. if yes, send/fax the consent form to him/her, for him/her to sign, and keep it save upon receiving it back (you'll need this wen u go to ROM to collect ur documents).

Register on the ROM website 21days - 3mths before ur date. so the earliest date u can register will b 12Dec05. For registering, u shd have ur hotel venue n solemniser already, cuz u need to key in the details.

Go to ROM website to take a look, they have most of the info there. Hope it helps!

Have u decided on ur hotel already? If not, beta do it quick gerl!

My dinner & solm will b at Peony Jade Restaurant @ Clark Quay. It's a sichuan cantonese restaurant with modern chinese decor. keke...

So hav u decided on ur dinner place already? How bout ur wedding photoshoot and BS? Have u signed up with any?
 
Wow! My first choice is also with Peony Jade, (fall in love with that resturant first sight.. keke..)
but they don't have slot for me on that date.
Both novotel clark quay and river view hotel is in my top priority list. final decision is with my FH.
Already signed up with white link, appt for photoshot in dec..
how about urs? u signed with any bridal shop
 
Oh, tat's sad. If not, we would both be PJ brides. Well, both Novotel & River View are oso gd hotels, so it'll b a gd choice no matter whh u choose!

I've signed up with E-Bridal. My PS is also in Dec! keek... was suppose to have Studio PS on 10th, and Outdoor on 12th, but they called me during last wkend to say that they will b very busy on 10th, so asked if I could change to 18th for studio instead. I said okie loh. So it's 12th & 18th Dec for me. Hou bout u?

Have u have ur trial MU, hairdo & fittings already? How was it?
 
My package doesn't comes with any trial MU. Only for PS and Wedding that night. Today just went for second wedding, but realise the night gown i've chosen doen't look good on me. It looks differently on me compare to the first fitting. (scratching my head, why is that so.. haha) luckily the staff allowed me choose another one.. haha.. have u chosen ur gown? are u satisfied..
 
kekeke... go and request for trial MU loh. Mine actuali din tell mi got one, then i requested to have, saying that wat if dun like it on the day, and scarly dun like the hairstyle leh? then will waste our time to redo wat. so they agreed to let me have a trial loh. gg to do it together wen i have my fitting for my PS.

keke... it'll happen one lah. I din like a WG that I chose on my 1st fitting wen I went for my 2nd fitting. So I chose again loh. I've only chosen gowns for PS, & I'm gg for my final PS fitting earli nex mth, after they've altered all the dresses for me & fh. but tink i will get to choose another gown, cuz din get to choose ethnic attire tat time mah. I MTM my EG, so haven seen it yet, hopefully it's nice, if not i oso duno hw man! :P
 
how much u pay for your MTM? so much things to do and make decision for wedding.. beside gown, ps, wedding venu.. there are more to come.. making us feel tired even before the actual day.. haha
 
kekekek... i agree! getting tired with all the tings to souce and decide! my MTM is included in the BS package, bt i dun get to keep it thou. bt tink its okie lah, cuz dun tink i wud wear it again loh. won't it b weird? to wear ur EG out for a DnD or dinner or watever? :P
 
I had my ROM dress tailor made at Sharon in Tanjong Pagar..she's real good & she can do real fast. I took a make-up artist from Irene's Creation, Jane..she has a good reputation so much so I felt I didnt need a trial make-up. I could show some of my ROM photos if any of u are interested.
 
My ROM & dinner was all on same day.. ROM at Cherish SUite, then had tea ceremony n lunch at home, then wedding dinner at Furama Riverfront.The hotel has weekday tea recep & their packages a very affordable too.

i had my soleminzation-cum-wedding dinner at Raffles the Plaza on 2 Oct 2005..it's was indeed a very memorable moment for the both of us..all our guests are our witnesses & it's really wonderful..i m glad that we even customised our wedding vows & also had a unique Hello Kitty Ring Pillow as below: -

Hi all.. I am also planning to have solemnisation cum buffet dinner on the same day at the hotel.. can anyone advice how the arrangement/program should be? especially for buffet it may be a bit chaotic. not like wedding dinner when everyone sits and waits for food :P

my plans are almost the same as u, except tat i'm nt havin at hotel... am also quite worried at hw things wld turn out... wld the guests arrive on time for the solemnisation, wat if the guests came late...

tough doing wedding planning...
 
Hi gals, I'm also having both on same day..but wat i intend to do is that I won't be having all guests witness cos afraid of delay..so wat i'm planning to do is to have the solemnisation at prob 6 or 630, either in the bridal suite or some function room..still in the process of negotiating with my coordinator..so only immediate family members and perhaps some close friends will attend..=)
 
can i ask whether can i do with the following procedures?

1. Normal procedure for groom to come pick up bride > tea ceremony etc.
2. ROM and Wedding Banquets at evening. That means maybe take vows at probably 7pm, then serve dinner from 7.45pm onwards?

Pls advise whether can go thrg tea ceremony w/o begin recognised as lawful couple first or not?

I'm also planning to have everything on same day.. Having tea ceremony in the morning, then solemnisation in the evening(before the reception start) at the country club garden-outdoor, then following by the reception and dinner at their ballroom.

What is the best timing for these?
How long will the solemnisation takes?? i thinking 6 or 6.30 to start solemnisation.. which is better??

Any comments??
 
Hi, can anyone please share your program list for solemnisation, on details of who to start talking, march-in ...etc...I have no idea how this can be done. Please help! Thanks.

Hi Yon, I have planned my solemnisation to start at 630pm based on advice from my hotel wedding coordinator. From what I have been reading, the ceremony is abt 10-15mins. Perhaps u may want to check with your coordinator.

I will be having my sole and dinner on the same day also. Sole will most likely start after the first march in. direct to the stage. so will get the pple to sit down at around 7.30. march in plan at 7.45..
