Hi all

Wondering if I can get some advice from you girls...

I've just booked my wedding banquet for early June 2017 (yayss). Am thinking of doing a pre wedding shoot in Korea in winter cos pics in the snow seem soo niceee. We have spoken to 2 studios who said that timeline wise it will take 3 to 4 weeks after the shoot for the pics to be ready for selection, followed by 3-4 months before the album is printed! That takes us to end may if we take the pics in end Jan when there is snow :(

Would like to seek some advice

1. Is it wise to do the shoot in early Jan? Any experiences to share?

2. Did your studios ask you to top up 1K to go out to ski resorts to take pics where there will be higher chance of snow ?

3. How much does a Korea shoot cost on average?

Thank you!!!

Hi, I took my pre wedding shoot in Korea during late december last year.
1) From my experience, we did mostly indoor shoots because the weather was too cold to take much outdoor pictures, we took some but we couldnt stay out for too long. If you really want to take in winter, you can consider a mixture of outdoor and indoor if not it will not be enjoyable for both of you.
2) im not too sure of topping up but my package included everything so we didnt top up any. My pictures were ready for selection about two weeks after the shoot, another 3-4 months before we get preview of the edited photos to print the album.

3) The agent I went through have a range for prices for various studios, from $2988(promo), $3888,$4888,$5888. The package varies.

Overall, im quite pleased with the photos cos even the raw images without editing looks nice.

That actually sounds quite reasonable! Was it snowing/ were you going for the snowy look? Would you mind sharing details on the package and studio with me please? Can private message me..

You can straight liaise with people in Korea. I found this studio Chungdam. I think they also got liaise with Singapore bridal studio also. But you can contact Jamie at +82 10-5202-9800 to know more. She very on the ball and send u many pictures. In the end I didn't go Korea and take and decide to take in Singapore due to budget constraints. :)

Hi Nathaniel, i have just signed up with a local agent ytd, planning to go korea in April next year.
Would like to do a comparison of the rates and the studio you choose.
Can you pm me the details of your package and your bridal shop name? Thanks so much.

We had our wedding last year end with Louvre Bridal. They have Korea packages. Due to our working schedule, we chose to do the shoot in Singapore. But they are well-known for Korea photo-shoot.

I followed them on their facebook and I have been reading that they have promotions on Korea photo shoot. Anyone needs their link? http://www.thelouvrebridal.com/collections/korean-concept/

I can't comment much on the package details for Korea but I must comment their service is top-notch and we had a pleasant experience with them.

agree that Jamie is very responsive but we didn't choose Chungdam in the end because it seems like quite many couples from SG went there already so we wanted something different heh.

Korea photoshoots have a wide range - it can start from 2k+ to 6k+ depending on which studio and what packages. It's true that they requires a longer timeline - we have been warned by many studios and agents regarding this.
