wonder if u have went to the ROM at hotel rendezvous....is it nice??? was it at the function room or at the bar lobby???

i am going to do mine on 14th feb next yr 08.

Not sure hows the food and service. So far i am impressed with their function room, very big and spacious.

Looks nice with all the chairs with seat cover. When is ya ROM?
 
I will be doing my ROM on 24th October 2008.

I've spoken to the Banquet Sales Manager yesterday and he's friendly and nice! He recommended a function room which I think should be the same one as Amanda's. Big and spacious.

They are really v strict w their perks and discounts.

Thanks hee. I am taking the buffet lunch package w the decoration included.

Think its 1388 for the first 32pax, then subsequent heads is $50 per pax. But becos mine falls on V day, they charge extra surcharge $100 (initially they said $200) prob for the flowers.

But their package are v standard. THink without decorations its prob less $170. But i was thinking of saving the hassle to source for a florist to help me decorate.

Yup the function room is Merevale on level 3.

Anyway thats fast u finalising your details hee..but good, get it done with and u are ready to move onto the next task.

So which package did u take? Btw their wedding favours are really cute too haha.

Yup, I would say that my bf and I are those who will do lots of planning whenever it comes to making an important decision. We want to fix our ROM date and package first, afterwhich select our bridal studio, hoping to look for those who will throw in ROM trial make-up, dress and hand-bouquet for us.

Mine is the dinner package which I have asked the banquet manager to customize for us. It is the same as yours, except for the menu part. Will be $55 nett per pax. As our date is on a Friday, I try to avoid doing luncheon so that my frens don't have to take leave.

Yes, I agree that the wedding favours were cute. Which one did you select?

Haha i did luncheon as i was afraid that i will disrupt people's V day plans..So luncheon on V day was the way to go.

Hi i held my ROM at Soleminzation in 2006.. basically.. its quite ok except that the waiters are abit slow in their bringing out of the buffet lunch... so i was abit pissed.. other than that.. everything went on smoothly. Mine was did at the Meravale I.

Mine was Q okay, they prepared the food already when i reached there. Only one thing, the setting of the solemnisation table was different from what i imagined. So must communicate w your co-ordinator properly. Luckily, they were quick to make the changes.

Package A is 1388 nett for the first 32pax, then subsequent head is $50 nett per pax for buffet lunch and $40 for tea menu. This is also inclusive of wedding favours of your choice.Mine was coasters.

Without the flower decorations and the solemnisation set up and the seat covers, its package B for $1188. Everything else is the same.

My Function room is also Merevale 1 on level 3. Go for the soleminsation table w the theatre style arrangement, looks really nice and grand

Hi Janice,

Basically, Hotel Rendezvous offers the high-tea and lunch buffet packages. If I'm not mistaken, the high-tea and lunch buffet are the same price if you take the package but subsequent top-up will be different, which I will explain later.

There are 2 packages within the high-tea and lunch buffet.

Package A is $1,388 for the 1st 32 guests and you can choose to use one of the function rooms or the Palong Bar at Level 1. There is free flow of soft drinks and tea, gift favours for your guests and solemnisation tables and chairs deco. Guests will view your ceremony in a theatre seating arrangement. Additional guest for high-tea is $40 and for lunch is $50.

Package B is $1,118 for the first 30 guests and basically, everything is the same as Package A, except that there is no gift favours for your guests and there won't be deco for your solemnisation table and chairs.

As for my solemisation, I choose Package A and top-up a few hundreds more for a buffet dinner. I think prices are the same for both weekdays and weekends.

I have booked it for my ROM in June 08. Eileen and Sharon were veri helpful. I am holding at the Palong Bar coz their function rooms are used for church service on sunday.... ;)

do you happen to have any pictures of the palong lobby bar to share? i tried to go to the hotel's website but it was not very clear. would appreciate if any one has pictures of that venue.
 
anyone did or went for ROM session at the Patong Bar? can tell me more and picts if best..

i prefer somewhere "open" and see the outside scenery, rather than a function room for ROM ;)
 
another thing.. it was stated in their ROM package that "6 complimentary carpark coupons per function".

i dunno if i c wrongly... cos i thought should be 20% of the confirmed no of guests coming for such event?
 
ROM package is slightly different from banquet package..maybe you wanna check with your co-ordinator what is the max that she can give you..

saw you posting in both the rendezvous hotel and grand plaza park hotel forum..concidentally, both hotels happen to hold special meanings in my life..

held my ROM at rendezvous last oct and will be holding my banquet at GPPH (now called grand park city and so, GPCH) this oct..

anyway, i had quite positive feedback on the food from my frens during my ROM..i had buffet dinner on my ROM and generally, their service was quite good!

i had a giant poster that i wanted to put up (about 1.5m by 1.7m) and the banquet manager really did his best by helping us fix onto the wall of the function room..gave us cue to march in and ensure that everything was nicely done for our big day..

my co-ordinator sharon was also helpful in assisting us with our queries as and when we asked her..

so generally, my experience with rendezvous was good!
 
hihi..i have shared my ROM pic on my multiply in a few earlier posts..just scroll up and you can see..

i think it was like $55 nett per head..i topped up abit more cos the packages that they have are for high tea and lunch..

the function room look spacious and the decoration are nicely done up too.

Is the decoration all done up by the hotel? Like for the solemnisation table.

Btw do u still have the ROM package whereby u can email to mi =)
 
yup, indeed the function room was very spacious!

it has 3 sections where you can do your solemnisation with theatre seating arrangement (i love this cos your guests can sit down and relax while the couple go through their vows, etc), dining area that can accomodate 4 or 5 10pax tables and the buffet lining area which is big and has lots of room to move around..thus, all in all, the entire function room makes my guests free to walk and mingle around!!

the basic deco were done by the hotel..like the 2 flower arches, flower centrepiece for the solemnisation table, the sashes and floral deco for the 5 chairs around the table and also, the seat covers for all the chairs (dining and solemnisation areas) were provided..

if you looking for something simple and indoor, this hotel is quite a good option to do your ROM..

The package price for this year has changed
for buffet dinner S$60.00 nett per person.

So it is better to check with the hotel
