ROM at external venue (Advice needed!)

Hi all,

Just realised that we are unable to hold our ROM at the centre as the date we want falls on a Sunday.

We are planning to hold it at a external venue instead.. If we hold our ROM at an external venue, is our application on a first come first serve basis too? Or we are able to file anytime with a notice period of 21 days?

In that case, you will need to find a JP for your solemnisation I think.
We are doing our solemnisation on our wedding date itself too thus we soft book a JP.
Our JP told us we will need to do the filing online then we will meet her after which.
Hope this helps a little

If I'm not wrong, I think the first come first served basis is only applicable for the slots in ROM since their slots are limited. If you're holding it at an external venue, then yes, you just need to arrange for your own JP after filing an application. The time crunch would be in finding a JP because most of the popular ones get booked very quickly, especially on weekends / auspicious dates.
