Not necessary n no significance. Just for aesthetic purposes.

A ring pillow is originally used in church weddings where there is a procession when the bride marches in. the pageboy / ring bearer will carry the ring pillow during the procession, like the flower girls and bride's maids carrying flowers.

Hi, for those looking for ring pillows, i bought mine online through yahoo auctions.

There is this seller (promises_of_love) who makes &amp; sells wedding accessories! I bought my ring pillow (very well made &amp; pretty) for only $12 excluding mailing charges.

Disclaimer: Not her and she didn't give me a discount for advertising. Just want to share where i bought my ring pillow. My ROM is this Saturday!

I can't say if that way is correct or not. Cos from pics of ring pillow &amp; ROM I attended, I saw a few ways of tying.

But the lady whom I ordered mine did show me how to tie with the ribbons &amp; I thought it's very secure &amp; the rings will stand up straight too.
