Religion Marriage

Hi all,

I'm here to ask for more advices.

Do anyone facing this problem during ur wedding preparations.

My family is Catholic. HTB is TAOISM. As for catholic, it's compulsory to hold a wedding in the church ceremony. But problem is we find a bit weird to hold 2 religion customary wedding on a same day. Is it normal?

Morning u hold joss sticks & in the afternoon U pray in church. As i understand from my parents, they strongly disagree to separate wedding in 2days. cos they mentioned it wont have any meaning if i wear the wedding gown twice. (meaning is marrying twice in a life)

But HTB's side is strongly taosim too. Esp. the older generation. So i'm not sure how to handle this. Just bcause of this customary wedding. Making me having insomia every night.

My family only want me & my HTB to hold our wedding in the church thats all. (of cos need to go through a marriage course before actual day)

Urgently need advices.

Suggest you speak to a priest. I'm Catholic too. I think it's ok to split the celebrations into 2 days (I did purely for practical reasons coz reckon we would be too tired after church n tea ceremony on the 1st day). It was a good decision and everyone enjoyed the celebrations more. There will be a pre-nuptial interview with Father before you can be allowed to marry in church. Do speak with him. All the best!
