Hi ladies.. does your hotel request you to apply for music license for the music to be played at the banquet? Mine need to apply... But when I asked around..the friends around me doesn't seem required to apply.

It’s applicable to me as well - I had my wedding lunch at Hilton. However, if you have the original cd of the songs you wanna play, or you use their songs ... then it’s not require to purchase the licenses.

So..you applied for it too? Did the Hilton ask you yo produce the license? How about the song for your montage?

My coordinator told me about the requirement too. Mine is gonna be at Hotel intercontinental. I recall she mentioned it’s for the montage if you make your own. If it’s done by a vendor then they would have ensured the necessary licensing in the course of the production

Songs for the Montage is ok ... actually the studio making the montage should ensure they are using licensed or royalty free music etc.

I didn’t applied - I bought the cds on carousell and then let hotel play it instead. Then I resell the cds back in carousell
