Random Chat: What did you have for lunch today?


That's how I feel as well when I saw Raffles's post.

I share SM's line of thought...
More often than not, we tend to lament about things in life and how unfair it is...

But that's it...we stop there and then...
Sure...you can offer some words of comfort (let's not start a war of words now...)... you can bitch about how unfair life is...

And then what next? Most people just shrug and move on...NO ACTION DONE...

And when people like me starts slamming you for your inaction...I got whacked cos I offer no sympathy...

And for what?
It's so easy to bitch isn't it...

PS : No offense meant and I'm not "attacking" Raffles...It's just my thoughts...I'm entitled to it, am I?
 
hi kahlen.. wah u so fast know what to eat tomorrow ah.. later dinner eat what i haven't even think yet wor..

anyway i nothing to do .. so share my lunchie for today..
vegetarian mee with nice curry vege, dou kee, mock cha siew and some scramble egg...top with some curry gravy..
One green apple + 100 plus.
my tea break .. some green peas and kopi
now yawning and thinking what to eat for my dinner..

I had BA KUT TEH for lunch last friday!

I can still feel the texture of the trotters in my mouth and gliding down my throat.... oh yes the soup and the intestines too :D
 
Actually depending on how one eat SM. My colleague was complaining to me that his lunch expenses cost alot every meal minimum 10 dollar plus on a normal working day break.

But I always see him ordering alot lah that is. Most of the time I keep lunch expenses under 5 bucks.

Next one is steamboat mah. But if you want ba kut teh anytime. Just drop a msg or buzz and we can just pop by there. They close on mondays though.

< $3 lunch is quite ok cheap lah.. u can't get it in all places.. not in food court.. non-aircon place yes.. canteen in industrial estate yes..

coffee-O is coffee shop ok lah.. 80 cents if starbucks.. $4 plus..

The kopitiam at hougang mall a can of soft drinks already $1.50 liao. Cheapest meals seen at such places always $3 and above. Also seldom see $2 set liao.

But I still prefer the non air con places. The food also nicer. Foodcourts too commercialise liao the taste. Only left Qiu Lian Ban Mian can be trusted in haha
 
Yeah I work quite near there and stay quite near there too haha. 1 bus stop away from the place I stay. So for me is like, anytime haha

yes, its cheap cos its not in town but in industrial areas. Main customers are blue collar workers in the nearby construction and factories.

For coffee, there is the cafe as well as the kopi tiam. Depends on my mood and budget for the day loh.

I just had it last week. Rice + 2 veggies - $2

taste....so so lah...but still ok to me. Just to fill my stomach
 
Salsa,

the diff is not really only price but the portion. Its huge. I have to always ask for lesser and lesser rice. Most of the customers are asking for a mountain of rice so, that's the default quantity.

Of cos I wouldn't ask for lesser meat and vege. The min is 2 veg 1 meat, so die die also need to order that amt.
 
Yep. And the servings in industrial areas are always very huge. They will not be stingy with the staples and add alot for you. Normally 2 veggie + 1 meat will not exceed 3 dollars.

Food courts, especially those malay cusines one chicken leg set you back by $4.50 liao. Bo hua. A plate of veggie rice from them easiler goes up to $5 or more.
 
Bo bian. But I can still find $2 fishball noodles at the canteen here. 2 fishballs, few slices of fish cake and abit of minced meat. They also have to cover their cost and such lah.

At least you will not feel the pinch if the food sux rather than paying alot for something that ain't nice haha. Which is what I experienced at most food courts.
 
Hi flower, used to go ABC for lunch before I changed my job..
Food is good and cheap.. but always got difficulty getting seats and hair will smell of hokkien mee or carrot cake after meal..
 
Is it nice to have a carrot cake favour hair? Never ask aunty for some nicely cut flowery carrots as hair accessory

Che, I use The left over and make bb cream for u.

waliew.. Kah.. my pimple recover liao, i swear no BB cream for me ..

i have ee-mee just now.. but i "chua sai" cos someone reported police..

PS... ermm i also don't know if i use the word "chua sai" correctly..
 

Then I use Unagi make bb cream. Fishyyyy is nice.
