Hello Bro and sis here, 3years bk i did write a post here regarding My ex husband and me. I now very stress as i don knw how? My ex Gf working in law firm, So she hire a lawyer for him to divorce with me,So the offical divorce date is last year december,The gf with 4children and maid since 2year back they move to my house. Untill now they all still living there. My ex told his lawyer after he sold the flat will give me 5k . But as i am keep renting a room outside, So i find legal aid to help me, I ask for more around 15k, So My ex agreed give me the 15k But he want to deduct a 7k return back to him, This 7k is what they living there for 2years house loan, Cos every month Pay the house loan is $300,2years staying there will be 7k. So i agreed , Cos really dont knw what to do. From the day we divorce till now he have Not settle the house and money issue. The last he mention his curent gf want buy over our 3rm flat. Recently i heard that they even buy new funiture and Plasma Tv.. Dont seem like moving away or sold right? I did col my ex, But he always talk to me very rude, And i ask Him how It'S already? He told me already found new buyer , But cant find the HDB Officer yet. My reason is am not the owner of the flat, Am just a occupier, Cos that time when we get the flat, Am only 18. So the owner name is my ex. I dont understand why have to drag so long, I Hope he can faster settle and i no need to contact him or disturb his life. To me i dont know what is their planing, But honestly since the day they stay there, I din go up make noise , I giving them stay there peacefully. But why till now they dont want settle our thing.Dont know it's they see me young and blur type, They bully me?Cos my ex older me 8years and the gf is 44year old. I need a Good Advice from your. Thanks alots !
 


this is very sticky situation, the rule of thumbs, the faster the problem solved is better. if i were you, i will be a pushy girl.

the legal issue is the last issue that any people want to face because it requires alot of time and paper to fill in.
 
Hi black burn, But our divorce paper document written after sold the flat. Den i can take the money. Problem is they keep on drag, Even they continue stay there. Govement oso wont chase them away. So i guess i cant get the money end of the day, That is why i feel hopeless , And really hope if this sitution is you what would u do? But i belive if other people will sure fed up and always make trouble with their ex husband right?
 
I really dont know why so many women like to stay my house, Last time my ex already bring few differnt gals back , Now this current one is whole family stay inside, My whole block Neighbour always gossip about them, And they come and ask me why my ex become like that,Why bring such a older lady back , Somemore bring maid and child too. The very first before they have not shift in, They actaully renovation the house . And even bought a new car for him.. The little money i don understand till now they dont want return me , Maybe thats reason behind ?? Sometime i very sad and angry , I have the urge to go up find them, But i tink twice, If i Go up , They can call police and catch me right? Cos we already divorce.. If call my ex and check with him how it goes already, He will get mad and angry and scold me the badwords ..(( Hope to hear advice from people view..Thanks!
 
ermm, junkie, Think u mistaken already , I just nid a advice what should i do? Since already so many month , If cant do anything, Oso cant say much .. The money not alots, Why should i keep thinking ? Already feel like giving up ..Anyway tks .
 
Very sorry, My english Not very Good. Maybe my word May let You Think wrong . I would say, If someone keep hide and lie to you, Make You like a fool , Will You feel unhappy? What i Hope is My ex is Honest and do thing right and be steady thats all.

I second junkie's suggestion

The things have been dragged for so long and quite hassle and since the amount is not very much (as you mentioned), why don't you just forgo the money and start your life afresh. Take it as a very very expensive lesson and make sure you've learnt something from it. Just live your life and move on.

You are unhappy cos your ex keep hiding and lying to you, but which do you think is easier, change your ex's character or stop contacting them (start a new fresh life)?
 
after reading, I wonder - how did u manage to buy the HDB flat in the first place without your name? Or your ex-hubby bought under the singles scheme and therefore is able to register his name as the sole owner?

If this is true, then take it as a very expensive lesson, in the eyes of law, he is the rightful owner of the flat, he can stay with whoever he please.

Suggest that you move on - unless there are other issues not resolved like maintenance...
 
Tot Singles Scheme is for 35yrs old and above??? According to TS, her husband should be 26 then upon married.......

There is no way the husband can purchase the flat alone...
 
Angelbaby: You mentioned that you have legal aid previously to help you with the divorce, did they advise you on the flat thingy? What was the judement on the terms and conditions on the flat/joint assets? Do you still have a copy of your premises agreement? Why not make a trip to HDB legal dept? They might be able to advise you better.
 
Hi bride to be, I already start a new life since the day he left , But this money issue as i promise him i will give him back a 7k, As he ask for it. So i already promise him thing, Why he have to drag i dont understand, If really end of the day he still act as nothing, Den i can say i just forget it ..
 
Hi Le gros ours , Our flat bought becos we married, He now oso haven reach the age of 35year old. Not under singles scheme. We buy from Govement Resale Flat. Nope i never ask for maintenance. I only ask for the money after he sold the flat. Actaully at first i dont want to get any money from him, But my friend feel that this few years what my ex and the sister did to me was very unfair to me, Cos they even beat me that time.. And i staying outside keep moving around, My friend feel not worth me. I know this world have differnt type of people. Is time for me to give up the matter i think..
 
Hi joycelyn, Ya i went down to legal aid, As the admin staff mention to me, They cant help much, Ask me go down to Hdb , They only recently i know the hdb officer finding my ex, But they did try to contact him, But he never response, What my ex told me is another way round, He say cant the officer, Even he went down to hdb oso cant find. For the copy of your premises agreement we each have the copy with us..
 
Really thanksful to all of you for the advise, This lesson to teach me, When want to find a good husband must open eye big. Haha. I think last time i too young , Just becos of love is blind, He say what just listen to him. He want flat so we get Rom, I guess everything already plan by him.. But thanks god for letting me know all his truth colour early. If Not is too late already..
 
Anglebaby: read the agreement again and see what it says, ask the HDB officer should you need any clarification with the terms and see what advices they might be able to assist you with.

This is alimony. One lump sum payout.

Another thing is supposingly this flat is bought together wz another person and that person refuse to sell this flat. What is the consequence? *blur*
 
Hi that time we get the flat was 2002 , He was owner as he already above 21 tat time, Am a occipuer only.For contribution He used His Cpf, But his CPF only have 15k, So every month need to pay cash 300 for the loan. As i only contribution Water Bill and Buy Those funiture. But Now he and the lady stay there, He want me to detuct a 7k back to him, At first i blur i dont know what is that, So i agreed with Him, After that confirm with friend, My friend say why must give him the 7k, Cos i din stay there since 2years bk, Means My ex want me pay for them the loan oF this 2year they live there..Actaully i dont know how it goes, THat why i seek for advice from here..Thanks !

I think it's still the Fiance/Fiancee scheme, but angelbaby was listed as an occupier as she wasn't 21 yet then. The ex probably paid for the housing.

Angel, what did the divorce document state on the division of assets and on alimony? You won't go wrong if you refer to the official document.

Hmmm,, perhaps no amount is indicated on the docs. If so, the husband won't be "bargaining" the sum to be given to TS....
 
Hello, tks laundry for helping me get the real point of my mean. Doll & Iris, I ask someone read my document, The document written, After sold the flat i will get the some of money and oso have to deduct 7k for my ex too. But What i know he will earn more profit after he sold the flat, Unless his gf really take over, He can sell to her at lower price.My ex used His Cpf pay for the loan . I only pay those water bill etc.. So i guess why they drag untill now still not yet sold, Maybe have reason behind? I cant contact Him always, He will feel angry and disturbing , Den i will get scolded by him too..So I think this money Dont nid to think much already.Ha...
 
Angel, your document should have stated that by when the flat should go and that the flat has to be sold at or $X above market value. This can be enforced but you probably need to spend money to have it enforced.

But it is understood that the flat has to be sold upon the conclusion of the divorce. It's not right for your name to be in this flat and you may have plans to buy another flat with a family member or future spouse.

Thereafter the sale proceed are to be divide in the amount of $8,000.00 to the Defendant and the balance to the Plaintiff. If the sale procced are insufficient to repay the outstanding mortgage loan and or costs relating to the sale of the matrimonial home.The shortfall shall be borne solely by the Plaintiff.

(b)Costs(Divorce):Each party bear their own costs.

Am the Defendant, AnD oso written The parties will apply to the HDB to sell the flat in the open market:Within 6months of the order of court on the hdb flat. Within 6 months of the grant of the Final Judgment. Thanks for helping me to Read. Very Appreciate!
 
Angel, from my understanding, it means you get $8K from the sale of the flat but provided that there is a profit. It also looks like you have agreed to pay your ex-husband $7K regardless of whether you get that $8K.

I am a layperson. You should seek help from the legal aid for a proper understanding of these clauses.
