My fiance just found out that he'll be sent for reservist for about 2 and a half weeks overseas 2 days after our AD. This is like the worst thing ever. Now the knowledge that he'll be leaving will be looming all over our wedding day. Plus, we probably won't be able to stay the second night in the bridal suite as he'll have to fly on Monday so we need to go home to prepare. Most married couples will be enjoying their honeymoon bliss while we'll each be faced with an empty bed right after tying the knot.

Don't even know if he can defer his ICT since it's happening after the banquet is over. We haven't booked tickets for our honeymoon yet because we haven't decided on a location.

Hi, your fiancé can try writing in to defer his ICT. If his request doesn't get approved, then plan for your honeymoon after his ICT. 2.5 weeks will fly in no time! Cheer up!

As for the second night stay at the bridal suite, ask your hotel Sales Manager to keep the second night for your wedding anniversary so that you won't waste it. My hotel Sales Manager managed to do it for me when we requested to reserve our second night for our anniversary as we are unable to stay for the second night at the bridal suite as well.

Cheer up! My hub had to travel 2 weeks for work right after our AD too, literally next day so we didn't get to have the 'honeymoon' or 'newlywed' bliss perse but some things just can't be avoided. You guys still have lots of time to spend together after
