Need some suggestion on gifts

Hi preferable to be within 50 bucks. Was thinking of DIY though

Made quite a number of DIY gifts for previous Valentine's, anniversaries, etc such as:

1) A heart box containing jigsaw puzzle pieces that when you connect them together spells out from A to Z the many reasons I adore him or call him...

2) A diary planner for the following year; just that I occupy a tiny space for each date's entry to jot down a particular memory for us that happened to us the year before i.e. we started dating early January 2011 so for our first dating anniversary in January 2012, I gave him a 2012 diary planner with a day-to-day entry such as the day he asked me to be his gf, the time we do this and do that (too many sweet things happening in our first year of courtship that I can actually fill up all the dates haha) so that when he use the planner, he has space to write his own stuff for 2012 but he can also view that day's entry and reminisce what has happened on that same date in 2011 - just make sure your entries are in non-standard colours (I used pink and purple) so as to contrast the usual black and blue so he won't confuse or miss out things he planned for...

3) A photobook scrapbook containing photos and messages from family and friends as a surprise graduation gift - yeah, I had to "stalk" his FB to find his friends and relatives and cold-turkey email each of them to ask them to contribute their collection of photos and messages and memories before I edit and piece them all together and send off for printing hehe...

Just a few ideas you can consider but it's more meaningful when you personalize the gift according to what you think he'll find special and unique and meaningful to him. Definitely can do it DIY under budget... All the best!

How about a nice design watch? I think most guys will like watch.

Hehe, I think Sobe mentioned in one of her earlier posts that her budget's preferably within $50 and she was thinking of DIY... No offense but don't think any designer watch would fit into that category...

You can perhaps consider baking him something or cooking him a meal along with a handwritten letter.

cook your man a meal! my hib ask me to cook him a delicious meal on his bday instead of buying gifts and going out for dinner. i tot it will be very boring and unromantic. and i even think tt he is just trying to brush off this celebration, cos he doesnt like to celebrate. esp so that he ask me to cook him chinese food.. so i ended up cooking sambal sotong, steam fish, veg, eggs and a soup.. those usual typical dishes.. and we had dinner while watching the 7pm drama. so unromantic.. but to my surprise, he actually took a photo and posted on facebook with the caption, my best bday ever. that's when i realised, he really like these kind of celebration..

n e ingredients are less den $50..
