Oh yes, I book my venues through my caterer Rasel. They are official caterer for quite afew location hence you can arrange them to book for you, it's faster and don't have to go talk to so many ppl. I think they are famous among the museum wedding.

I'm thinking of a one stop service too, not enough time to source around.

i'm not really sure if all caterer does that but ACM, TPM and NM does has a list of official caterer and Rasel is one of them. You can call my coordinator Elsie her contact number is 92771255 she should be able to help you on your request.

I have contacted a few caterer and only Rasel does help out on booking. have taken a look at Rasel menu and it looks reasonable to me. Can I check with you on their popular dishes since you have tried their food?

I have tried their food during the sampling when they deliver food to my house. Food was like delicious!

I tasted their specialty dishes laksa, shepherd's pie, mutton rogan josh, scallops and pastries. Thumbs Up!
 
Hi all, I'm letting go a wedding dinner slot at ACM (gorgeous, unique location!) on 21st Nov 09 but date can be changed according to venue availability! Min 15 tables and max 30 tables.

Anyone here saw the news outbreak for Purple Sage Catering? I got a shock when I see this. At first I thought of using them for my wedding but they are not in the official catering list in ACM. I end up booking Rasel after my sampling.

Luckily I did not book them, they're in bad shape now and not sure if they will run away with my deposit!!! I'm try to scan out the newspaper cutting. Anyone want to see the news can try to retrieve 19 March Strait Time.

Ya, SOTONG BALL, read the news in straits time. Just paid $1000 and booked their wedding package on the wedding workshop on last sun 15 apr 2009.
My wedding is in late 2010, now I'm worried cos don't know if they can survive till 2010.

Anybody getting married in 1 to 2 months' time or have company or home function? I'm willing to sell my package off cos not comfortable.

I'm flying off soon. If interested, please reply cos want to off load this worry.

rasel workshop will be next week. i only went to purplesage showcase. i find that purplesage decor more simple, food ok but their price still very expensive even after i saw their adver above. not very comfortable with them in recession period. Frankly, who can give me garantee that they won't close after receive my deposit?
 
ooohhh. maybe bcos they haven't been around as long as the other caterers that's why you all feeling worried. but then again, i don't think why they would want to publicise their closing down no? understand your fears about them but perhaps you could call them to talk to them about it? especially shanon, maybe you should talk to the salesperson you were liaising with? more so now that you've given your deposit. just my 2 cents worth.

anyway, i'm looking for a place to have a simple ROM. any suggestions? nice, classy and simple. it's gonna be a small affair..
 
I don't feel safe to place my booking with especially my wedding date is in 2010. They are now on crash diet, maybe will close anytime.. very scare!!!

You looking for venues? You can try National Museum, look classy! But only can hold about 80 to 100 persons. I'm looking at 250 person, the room not big enough, *sign*

Only place that can accomadate so many people out door, unless you gg to Hotels..

Actually, one question. When people like, throw a party when they have their ROM, do people still have their banquets? Up to them? Young couples these day don't really go ahead with the banquet I realise. And ROM is like a solemnisation in a church right?

totally have no idea what the different steps are in getting married man. Haha. I only know it's gonna cost a lot of money.
 
I went to Rasel wedding show on Good Friday. Well, I have sign up with them already. I have no ideas or reasons not to sign with them too. Their setting is what I'm looking at...

I feel that their food and setup so much better than purplesage lor

MIA for a while cos swamp with work,just came back 2 weeks ago. Wow, very busy, attended 2 wedding workshops Krison & Rasel.

Agree with amanda, i felt that Rasel setup and food was much better than krison. I love the Rasel setup, so lovely and beautiful in ACM. Actually wanted to sign up cos the discount was good. Infact krison offer slightly better discount but i guess i will give kris a miss cos the food and setup was kind of disappointing.The colour a bit off lah!

aiyah, now still stuck with my purple sage package. No takers???? Come to the worst, use it for my Mother's celebration.

Any recommendation for wedding cakes? wanted something more cup cake type!

if you have not booked any caterer, Rasel is your choice. Look for Didacus, he's the man. They are realiable and food speaks for itself.
My company uses them regularly and have never been disappointed.

I have book them last year during their wedding workshop. I book through Elsie. So far she's doing fine. Both my husband and I likes her prompt services and she have given us many ideas on wedding planning (She share with us knowing that we are inexperiene).

How are you? I attended Purple Sage workshop last Sunday at National Museum. food presentation was creative but didnt really like the taste and i could not make out what the ingredients are for most of the dishes.

Yes, i have booked mine with Rasel!
We went to their wedding workshop last year. If your wedding is late next year, maybe you should go to their workshop first or give them a ring and see what they can do for you.

have been quite busy at work and preparation for the tea ceremony. i already checked with Rasel but no news of wedding workshop next year. i ordered buffet for my xmas party so we can know whether their food is really good. can't wait for christmas to come...
 
hi all,
I am looking at 15 tables sit down chinese dinner in ACM but have no idea about cost and set up. Went to Rasel website and saw that they only have buffet for wedding? I could not click on their photo gallery. Vebue booking comes without tables and chairs and Rasel will bring in all these? Can someone share the cost for venue rental please?

I have booked my wedding with Rasel, it is going to be held at ACM this August. Sure their supplier will bring in tables and chairs for your guests.Maybe you should call Elsie, she is the one who assisted me with my booking at wedding workshop. Tel: 6777 7183

I'm new there. Planing to host my wedding in venue like museum.
I have spoken to Elsie regarding about booking at ACM but parentally all museum only allows booking 6 months before. It's abit rush to plan 6 months before right?
How's Spaboutique? Elsie ask me to consider this place instead.. Have u been there before? Is there any other venue which u would recommend?

i attended my friend's wedding at Spa Boutique, nice place if you like to have something more nature and balinese kind of feel wedding. The only setback is many mosquitoes over there. How many guests do you have in your list?
