If you really like MM, try to negotiate for more perks, i doubt they can change the price, but i'm sure they can provide more things, including food tasting...

Anybody wedding is after the renovation? I remember Meng Wen (MM) told me that the 1st wedding after renovation to be held will be in sept'05.

are you looking at consignment? If not, u can try cold storage Taka branch. Sometimes they have offer that is as cheap as 16.20 each. the normal price selling there is 19.20.

I think u can try the wine shop at Toa Payoh Lor 4 .. it sells on consignment basis and think the rate is pretty cheap...

I'm looking for caterer and florist. U intending to get eagle hawk for wedding dinner? Have u tried the maroon label and the black label ones? MM only have the maroon label ones. I have tried both and i prefer the black label one.

Welcome to combine order...is it convenient to say when is your wedding banquet... do u roughly know how many bottles u would need?

I also heard of the Euro wine, contact provided by Y (yen2)... will try to consolidate to see how many bottles we need before i check out pricing..

have u had your finalisation meeting already?

Did u negotiate for free beer "corkage"...never ask b'cos package provide 30 litres so thot should b enuff...

think it is better to check with your co-ordinator...

I am new in this website and I am still searching around hotels for my wedding in 2006. However, my FH prefers to have normal chinese dinner 8/9 course, I don't mind but for the last course I am thinking of having buffet dessert instead of only 1 standard dessert. Any comments? Is it acceptable for buffet dessert nowadays?

Tks for the reply. Nope, totally missed out on waiver of beer corkage. Only got waiver for wine corkage. I'm suddenly wondering whether 30L is sufficient - think that works out to 90 glasses? Oh well, think I'll go with extra jugs if it does run out. Hope my guests wouldn't be beer-guzzlers!

AD is on 8 Oct, have 40 tables, so maybe need 40 bottles of wine? I have the free bottles of wine in the perks, but not confirmed if i am choosing this perk or not.. cos dunno if there will be an issue if the free wine plus the one I am ordering is diff brands/taste? So guests cant just get a refill right?

I have actually checked out the printers. Will likely go with Kentrich, cos prices v competitive. Heard some bad comments on Jasvy, so din check them out. Dunno about Acepro.

I attended my fren's wedding at Four Seasons, where they served dessert buffet too. but desserts not so nice, and usually, most folks did not even go and take, but just left the banquet already...

Thanks for the info. Maybe will drop out Jasvy since there's some bad comments on them. Is yours normal printing on the insert or did you go for hot stamping? My AD is on 23 Oct. BTW whose your wedding co-ordinator?

I guess everybody at the wedding usually rush off to go back even b4 serving the dessert or at times most folks will feel quite full by then.

For printing on inserts, it cant be normal ink printing, cos ink will run. Not using hot-stamping.. cos the "gold" color will be quite reflective. So will just print wine red color (dunno what ink) on the inserts itself.

Hi all MM brides and brides-to-be,

Just wanna check wif u guys abt the invitation cards provided by Marina. I know that Marina do provide 2 types of invitation cards, if we do not like the design, can we design our own and get them pay? ;-)
 

Just wondering, for those here who had booked your banquet with MM, did they include the extra perks bargained into the contract?

When we went to talk to the coordinator, he told us that he wouldn't be able to include the perks we bargained in the contract, e.g. more complimentary parking, invitation cards, etc. Instead, he'll just note them down on a memo and said that MM will definitely honour what he wrote.

We find this quite strange and insecure as with other hotels, they'll state them in the contract.

Can anyone who has had a contract with MM kindly advise us on this?
