Job security, solid rice bowl??

evon,

i think u have got there, a wonderful example... he would be role model for me too i guess... i have alot of love for Life... Alot. i've had the misfortune to see death from my early age til this day, and the fortune to know death more intimately. He has been a great teacher... Death.

He taught me to live, not for myself nor for others, but to Live Life. i walk closely with Death, therefore i am close to Life too. it's perhaps the reason why i recover faster than most, and move on faster too.

i'm sure u'll find your bearings and direction... as long as your heart is true, your mind is clear, u won't be walking too far from your ideals. for all the money that has been projected as Evil, i can only say truthfully that money facilitates Life n Living... whilst poverty keeps us from living.

dun ever let pple make u dislike money, for they know not what money can do for others, for their thoughts on money is central to themselves, for their use of money will be focal to their single-track mind.

and it all begins with career, continuity comes from our passion in chasing life... money is but a commodity. Roft mentioned something abt spending money, i think that holds alot of truth... and hopefully next May 2011, i'm still alive walking beside death and posting my experience in a Porsche with it's top down, blasting Alphaville on a nice cruise down the expressways... if i'm dead, am sure my wife or someone will post here to let u guys know. then u would know that statement holds even more truth...

last week i spent some time recollecting my life, and i realised i've come a long way... it was in a thread where i was having a dispute with stanzza, i realise my turning point in life was realizing how poor i was whilst cleaning watery stools n vomit off the floors of toilets for less than $2 an hour as part of my job for a good couple of months. in the first week i was full of self-pity, then i realise many of our forefathers did far worse for far longer... i told myself to never betray the shit i went thru... i guess i made good. but u know what? i asked myself an honest question, "can i do that all over again? will i be able to start at the bottom again?"... the answer is Yes. no job is below dignity, we dignify our jobs and ourselves. even when cleaning toilets, waitering, selling shoes or drinks.... i did it with utmost pride.

so here's to u... to strive and live your life as best u can...

Powder: thank u for ur words of advice. I sincerely hope tat ur health will be well. There's a Porsche in the world waiting to be owned by u, so dun disappoint it. Make sure u post pics of ur Porsche for us to view next May. Ur tongue has the power to sting Death. He wldnt want to go near u so soon. =>

haha tks, but me and death are good frens... i'm reading another book now by someone who died not so long ago... Randy Pausch - The Last Lecture... but i'm a slow reader, i like to suck out everything i can...

my tongue is harsh when needs be, but can be gentle too... and i dun mean it in a suggestive way... Yup, my car will come soon, just a matter of fighting my own demons of spending that much... or leaving for rainy days... But another thought here is - if we're well equipped mentally n physically, i guess we can walk thru rain... what's wrong with getting wet?

hope we'll be empowered with wisdom sooner rather than later... cheers!
