Hi all, need some advice here.
My wedding is in 2 months time. I have chosen 3 of my friends to be my jie meis and they have agreed. Things went well until recently. I told them that I will be purchasing their day dresses. I want to respect them therefore I asked them to decide on the colour for the day dresses, everyone's choices clashed with one another. When I suggested a colour, they objected. This made me really disappointed with them. Till now they have not come to a conclusion of what they want.
Next they insist that I must buy them evening dresses for the dinner reception as well. As I have never planned for a wedding, I am very confused because I have been a jie mei twice but both brides told me to source for my own dresses as long as it is of the colour they want and I paid for them myself. Then my jie meis also requested that I book and pay for a room for them at the hotel on my AD which is chargeable as it is not inclusive in my contract. Now they are planning on ways to squeeze my husband during the gate-crash session and when I reminded them not to go overboard with the games, they told me to, quote - "keep quiet and wait in the room, its not your problem what we do outside then."
I have not troubled them a single bit as I am planning everything on my own... I may be wrong but I feel that they are taking advantage of my husband and me here. May I know if its just me being narrow-minded or is this just part and parcel of what I should be paying? Should I just forgo the gate-crash session?
