I have a friend, her sil have married & rented a house with her new husband, both are highly paid but they instead of buying new TV, bed & fan, they are moving the items from her my friend house (room that the sil staying), my friend has no problem that they shifted the item but just find them a bit cheapskate.

people being smart about their finances, ie not buying new stuff in view of the recession, is not being a cheapskate ..

But if the in laws wanna give those stuffs to her, nothing cheapskate or being a thief mah. Unless your friend bought those stuffs herself, and she just take without asking then is something lah.

she just inform them that she arranging someone to take the stuffs, to her, she think tat belong to hers... i think she just smart, when everytime her parents asked her to buy something back, she always act that she forgot.

if it doesn't belong to her and she takes it w/o permission, she's a thief and not a cheapskate

if it doesn't belong to her but she has asked for permission to take and they agree, then no issues

if it belongs to her and she takes back, nothing wrong wat

Best ask your friend to buy her own lor. Then settled. Don't depend on other people's stuffs like what her sil is doing.

If your friend's inlaws (the owners) don't stop her from taking those items away, your friend have no say. It's between inlaws and sil, your friend better not not bother so much into their family matter lah.

salsa, it's bitching time....

tell your friends about a friend's mil, or
tell your friends about a friend's bil, or
tell your friends about celeste's sil also can...

back to frustrated threadstarter,

you mean the furnitures in your friend's sil's old room right? if for some reasons, your friend's parents gave to her and the new hubby, then it's their call alright.
why your friend lied that she has no problems with that as she followed up with a big but? actually, shouldn't affect her.

shucks, i din realise it's fun to participate in a bitching thread! :D

Vios!
lol...
m in a mood to bitch!
lol...

Actually since ur frd is ok with it then what's so weird abt it?

Err...

This is typical of auntie behaviour mah...
You mean you peeps still don't see it?

It's always her friends that gets into such situation...not her...
So she feels the need to "share" the story...

Seen it happens too many times liao...

Come 20 years later...
You will see them gathering around...starting each gossip with "I tell you hor...I got one friend hor...damn poor thing...blah blah blah..."

*auntie heads nodding together in union and "tsk tsk tsk" sounds can be heard*

Good to see that the "auntie" culture is still well and alive in our current generation...
