Hi,

need some advise here..
I will to inviting my Colleagues to my wedding but I only want to invite a few from a particular dept..but if I did not invite others, it will be not very nice..and some I dont reallly like oso..but they are of the same dept..haiz..

So I intend to email them to ask if that wanted to go to my wedding(cos those not very close de sure wont go)
Is that a gd idea or any other advise..pls help me..

hi kitty

those "close colleagues" do you lunch with them very often? if yes, more or less they know your wedding date so you can ask them during your lunch break. but remember to tell them to keep in confidential.

those not so close colleages will be borther if you invite them for wedding or not.

those in same depart and yet dun like, i think whether you like it or not, out of courtesy, better hand deliver card to them.

Hi Kitty,

I had the same dilemma as you, not so much of dislike colleagues, just those not very close ones. But I decided to invite all of them to my wedding dinner in jan 09.

I agree with Cynthia. Though you may not like them or you are not close to them, you should still invite them. At least you had invited them, so it's their choice whether they want to go.

Is it a norm to send an email to check their availability than give the invitation card & if they can't make it (won't it be wasted)?
