A friend told me that all cockroaches have wings but it seems not all know how to use their wings. Those that have discovered the use of wings are flying cockroaches. Don't know how true.

Yes, all the cockroaches should have wings.. the ones in SG definitely have.. and they can fly but not ALL will fly most of the time.

I don't think it is a different species of flying cockroaches. Just some cockroaches lazy to fly or lost the ability.

Sm, I'm astonished about your roaches killing skills! Lol.. I'm very terrified of them, flying or not.. Once I see them, I scream, run and hide! Or I get my mom to capture them! I cannot bear to even see them, much less try to kill them.

There was once I was done showering in the toilet.. Then I saw 'something' brown brushed past my skin and flapping sounds. That was the ultimate! I almost had a heart attack. I just grabbed a towel and dashed out of the toilet screaming. My poor mom has to wake up and capture it. These things just love me loh.

The fear of roaches is from the lack of exposure. There was once when we cleaned up my mum's placed that she rented out. The tenant was basically living with roaches. I killed them at the sight of any with anything. Shoes, newpapers, my feet and hands whacking all over. Initially, I was gross out. Then, it all became numb. Just simply too many. Just smashing them like crash dummies.

for my time, i catch tapoles .. after a rain, large water patches will gather on the uneven open field. Can find many tapoles there. Me and sibblings will catch them and keep them as pet

Milo, I'd rather remain underexposed or unexposed to roaches. The first thing I see one is scream, run away and jump onto a chair.

I guess you might be right Milo. It's one of the most fearful things in the world, at least to me. To simply put, I just detest bugs. Especially those with feelers. Dead or alive, it creeps me out to the extent that my hair will stand.

You don't have to hit cockroaches very hard. Just slight force.. they will not die.. but will just be struggling. then scoop them up and wrap them in newspapers..
