How to deal with this

I thought I had burst the things with him yday... but being more sensitive towards his needs last nite and giving him concerns~ + a lil bit of flirting today... we are back to normal. He even call n tell me what he is doing now just like usual.

I could say, the difference of yday and today ~ hell n heaven!!

If I am home late for dinner, I would tell my children to put my food into the fridge.

If my children are not home by 9 or 10, I would simply keep their food in the fridge. They can heat up when they are home and want food or they can eat it the next day. No fuss.

just to add something abit personal... one of the last few things my dad told me before he passed on in hospital, was to "remember to go home to eat dinner cos your mummy takes pride in her cooking and cooking for us"....

it's something i kept close to heart which i know i could never really fulfill cos i dun work 9-5 and just head home. good thing my mum understood this soon after my dad passed on, altho she still cooks from time to time BUT without expectations anymore. it made life much easier and i dun have to feel guilty daily when i dun go home, neither do i need to eat 2 dinners - 1 with frens and 1 at home.

so naturally when i dated, i avoided girls who were into cooking and very likely to cook for me and await my return... i dun know how to deal with such expectations.

and i dun date SMS-ers, i had too many problems when the Telco's had delayed or missing sms-es. i have a gfren who waited for me thinking i rcvd the msg, etc etc... u can imagine what life is when smses dun reach their intended parties.

even today, i still receive my wife's SMSes 1day or few hours later. just happened on sunday actually...

powder,

SMS normally very reliable.. I used it extensively and hardly any issue except when there are specific instances. Actually I prefer people to SMS when it is not important to have an answer at that moment - because when I am working, I don't like to be disturbed and interrupted by phone calls.

As for Dinner, I made it a point to go home for dinner everyday with the children - no matter how busy I am - unless I am having dinner appointment. Normally, I don't have more than a dinner appointment a week (during weekdays). If need be, I can go out after dinner at home..

my sms experience is pretty reliable in Being Delayed. wifey is starhub, mine m1. a decade ago when dating my ex, mine same, hers singtel... i dun know man, but i still get delayed SMSes more than a couple of times a week. shucks... maybe it's just me...

dinner is tough for me, since i finish around 8+ and normally everyone at home would have eaten... so rushing home to eat, or having pple wait for me to eat, is tough... i can't manage the time i leave office due to the nature of my job.

SMS will depend on your signal reception. If there is not signal at the point of SMS sent, retry is configured differently for each network operator. I'm using Singtel and its network in my office is terrible. Near the toilet, its total blindspot. At my cubicle, I'm getting 1 bar and unable to get HSPA connection. If I access data from my smartphone, the phone battery will drain real fast trying to download in GRPS mode. SMS is not reliable at all, once it fail, u have no idea when the retry will be. Most network operator will set a random retry timing to distribute the load for failed SMS sending.

hmm ok, but if it's definitely sent out... then should be no issue... but over the years, the consistency has made me very wary of the timeline thta could be lost... thus i'm more a phone person. exception being msgs that have less significance on time... maybe it's just my assluck sticking with me.

the strategy is still communication. Maybe he doesnt want to talk abt it at that point in time, but you can still try to talk to him after that.. you can try to email/talk to him..

By not communicating is like waiting for the volcano to erupt one day.. u need to know how he thinks and functions... that he jus wink and u know what he is thinking abt.. and know how to prevent to do/say things that he dun like..who likes to be stepped on the tail everyday?
